"A colleague and I went to this restaurant for lunch today on 10/11/23 at the Rockford, IL location. The empty parking lot should have been a warning sign for us not to dine here. We used to come here occasionally in the past and the food and service were excellent. However, the higher prices on the menu should have been another red flag (I understand inflation, but still). I paid $20 for the pulled pork plate, but the meat was cold and dry. My sides, mac n cheese and potato casserole, were also cold and I was hesitant to eat them. My colleague's chicken sandwich was inedible, prompting her to throw it out and opt for microwave popcorn instead. We waited so long for our order that we had to inform the lone staff member there that we needed it to go, even though we had initially planned to dine in. I planned to pay with cash, but was informed that they had no change in the register. The barbecue sauce in the lobby appeared to have not been replenished in a long time, as the contents and pumps were dried out when I checked. We were not offered any sauces when we decided to take our food to go. I can see this business shutting down in the near future."
