"Hendricks Tavern is a hidden gem located in the heart of Roslyn. The service, from the valet attendants to the wait staff, was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is warm, laid back, and relaxing. My wife had been wanting to try Hendricks Tavern for a while, so we decided to celebrate her birthday there. We made a reservation for outdoor seating and were accommodated without any issues. The food was superb! We enjoyed zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza as appetizers, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had Tavern BBQ Ribs and a 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak, which we shared. The sides of creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns were tasty, although the hash browns were a bit crunchy. Our desserts, carrot cake and homemade apple crisp, were also fantastic. The wait staff even sang happy birthday to my wife when they brought out her dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. "We had to wait almost 2 hours. Most dishes were delicious. The prices were too high. There was a beautiful view of the sunset. This made for some beautiful photo possibilities. My only complaint was that the fried oysters bite. My wife has the feast of Peace Fisherman. It cost over $35 and had the amount of food a $20 dish would have in other places. My wife gets fried oysters in every fish restaurant we've ever been. They're their favorite. She knows how to cook and how to taste. They were seasoned, but not seasoned. They were so tiny that they could hardly taste the meat themselves. She usually tasted the crust. When she asked the waitress and later the manager about it, she was told that when cooking the oysters will shrink in size. We're from Louisiana, where seafood prevails. Oysters do not shrink when they are fried. The manager was friendly enough to get her even more oysters; That was nice of him."

"I went for happy hour. The drink prices were great for my beer. Most menu items for happy hour were good. Had the chicken quesadilla, chicken wings and fries. both were a good buy. The chicken tender and french fries happy hour meal includes 2 chicken tenders. Will definitely go back for happy hour and just for lunch/dinner as I find the food delicious. Our server was spot on."

"Just okay. The best part of the meal was the fried shrimp…and while those are great, as a seafood restaurant your best dish should never be your fried dishes, especially just fried shrimp. There seafood chowder was very good. The mahi mahi tacos were decent. The blackened catfish was okay, but the rice and and collard greens were very bland. "Do not waste your time at this place. This is the most mismanaged restaurant I have ever been to. Waited 15 minutes for our table to be ready after our reservation time. The waitress showed up 20 minutes later to bring us water and take our order. 40 minutes later, neither our drinks or appetizers had show up and our waitress disappeared. "I've been ordering a blackened chicken sandwich here for over 10 years. I don't know how they do it, but it's by far the most juicy chicken sandwich I've ever had! If you want this, it is no longer in the menu, so you need to ask specifically for it. And it's NOT the black and blue chicken sandwich that has many things I don't want. Just Mayo, salad and tomatoes. And the rabbit is also so soft and nutty! Besides, I always get a side salad that is also one of the best salads I've ever had in a restaurant. Generally, I think they have quite excellent food, and probably cannot go wrong with anything you order!"
