"Since this was a birthday/Valentines dinner I had higher expectations for a better experience. We have been to Avenues Bistro before, but this time we were slightly disappointed in the overall experience. It seemed as though the restaurant was more concerned with turning tables than offering a positive dining experience. The staff was moving at an extremely fast pace and the food seemed to be coming out of the kitchen quicker than usual not allowing for patrons to enjoy a relaxing dinner. We were seated next to the kitchen entrance which also led to a rushed, hectic dining experience. Especially when you could hear the conversations taking place in the kitchen and repeatedly heard the employees calling out “Corner, Coming In, etc.”. The parting gift of Macaroons was nice but not being acknowledged for a birthday was a little disappointing since we had never experienced this."
