"Showed up for the dinner reservation and we were seated promptly. Ordered drinks and later put in for our meal. Had burrata ravioli along with Nona’s meatballs. Both were excellent. I ordered the filet medium rare. What arrived at our table was not a filet, it was more of a roundish New York strip. It was over-cooked to the point of being gray, but at 1/2” tall there wasn’t anyway *not* to overlook it. Also, there was a fair amount of fat which surprised me for such a lean cut. I had been there several times, maybe it was an off night. But I likely won’t be returning unless it’s restaurant week or something."

"What a great place to go in Newport Beach California! I'd go as far as I say, one of the best places to go to Orange County, California. The services were amazing with those who worked there and answered all my questions. If they did not know the answer, they went to find out and where to be back immediately fast! vegan/peskatarian, they were more than willing to make my culinary experience miraculous and memorable. Food was amazing! There with a large group for a celebration, so the service was still wonderful! I would recommend this wonderful place and will eat again soon. Thank you. "Had a wonderful dinner with a colleague. Split the cheese board and miso mushrooms, with the Craic Marg for each of us. I had the dry aged burger with fries, and he had the Cubano with fries. Perfectly simple perfect food, dining al fresco after studying forensic science all day. White Oak Tavern may never get a Michelin star, but if you want really good food at really good prices next to Washington Square Park, with excellent service to boot, look no further."

"The service and food were amazing. Everything was on-point from the moment we arrived to when we left. The beef Wellington and salmon stake were perfect. The only suggest I have is to turn down the music a tad as I couldn't hear half of what my wife was saying. Otherwise, the ambiance and decor were great as well. The bread served at the beginning of the meal was so flavorful and delicious."

"We went here for dinner before going to see Hamilton (the musical) at Spark Arena. Little bit nervous because past reviews mentioned late food and bad service, however it was nearby and easy access for mobility aids. The servers were nice and accommodating during a busy time. The food arrived quickly, less than 10 minutes I reckon. It was good bar food though not a lot of vegetarian options. We spent a pleasant time eating, drinking, and chatting while the rugby played in the background. Then arrived at the show in plenty of time. Thanks team"

"This is the second time that I?ve ordered this guacamole on toast. First time, the bread was so small that it made me think that my $6 was not worth it. I gave it another chance and this is how my toast turned out. It was burned. Your mission is ? real food done right? but it looks to me that ?Real food OVERDONE right? please be mindful of the quality of the food that you serve your customers. Imagine being in my position eating this type of food. Please train your staffs to do better and make better quality edible food that?s worth an overpriced mexican food."

"I came here for dinner with a girlfriend, and we both enjoyed everything! We ordered the roasted vegetables, grilled octopus, and wagyu. Our favorite was the octopus because it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly- we both agreed it was the best octopus we had ever had. The vegetables were also amazing- I would definitely order this dish again the next time I eat here. The wagyu was a bit disappointing, however. We suspected they were scrap end pieces they cut off while preparing wagyu steaks. Probably wouldn't order this again, although cooking the meat on hot stones was sort of fun."

"While we stay here, we eat in Catalina. The restaurant is next to the pool and has a very nice outdoor dining environment. The lunch menu included some great dishes. For a quick lunch the restaurant offers burgers, wraps and salads. I ordered an Angus-Burger while my wife got herself a chicken battle. You can go garlic fries with the dishes. The burger is very good with delicious sauce. The fries were not as good as they were so tender. Chicken was fantastic and healthy. I heard from the reception when I checked that the Catalina also served very good breakfast. We'll try their breakfast tomorrow morning."

"THANK YOU SO MUCH.. We had a wonderful afternoon. The venue is beautifully renovated with an amazing view over the Coral Sea. The food was outstanding. My husband and I travel a lot with work and the food at The Rock was some of the best we have ever eaten. Beautifully presented and incredible flavours, plus plenty of it. Our son joined us for lunch and he is a huge eater and we still ended up taking what we couldn't eat home with us. I had the vegetarian option and it was probably the best vego food I have ever eaten. The hay baked carrot with curry sauce was to die for. We will most definitely be dining at The Rock at every opportunity we get. Do yourself a favour and visit the Rock for Sunday lunch special....worth every cent and the pool is beautiful"
