"I was very excited about Haywood's food. It was part of a birthday trip for me and my husband. We sat at a nice table until we realized that the air conditioning radiated our neck. We ordered a beautiful bottle of wine, skipped appetizers and ordered our entrees. These lasted so long to come to our table that a party of three came, we sit next to us and order and eat appetizers and entrees before someone even came to us via a “mix up in the kitchen”. It must have been a good hour before we got our food. No apology until we were done and free dessert was offered for our inconvenience. We had put our hearts on the cheese dish we ordered, but couldn't get French bread because we said the kitchen shut down the ovens. While trying to eat our cheese, the staff began to remove all dining chairs from the restaurant to set up breakfast. It was 9:30. We felt hurried and ignored. We were so over the bad service we left before the completion of the cheese plate and our wine. It ruined what we thought would be a nice dinner. Such a disappointment. The food was unimaginable and simple. Overpriced and pretentious and really bad service."
