"The wait time quoted to my party kept getting extended because the restaurant kept seating smaller parties at tables we were waiting for. For our sanity stomachs, we eventually decided to split up sit at two booths, one behind the other. What we should have done was left. Our waitress was awful to us. She was curt, rude, impatient. Utensils, chopsticks, wasabi/ginger were brought out after our food arrived only because we requested several times. Had we not been strung along at such a late hour had service been halfway decent, I would've rated Kopan 2.5 stars rounded up to three for their food. I ordered a bento box; the avocado roll was generously filled with fresh avocado but the chicken katsu, though hot crispy, tasted bland. But, as it currently stands, Kopan wins the award for absolute worst service I've experienced at a restaurant in 2023. Congrats, enjoy your 1-star trophy."
