"This was our second time at Donato because we wanted to give it a second shot. Our first experience was on Valentines day where they were having some issues due to it being a holiday and their system being down. That meant we ended up spending about 3 hours at Donato, mostly waiting and getting impatient for anything to come. This time around, we brought a friend to give it a second chance. It was a random Friday night with a reservation. Service was slow, the same as our first time around. It took around half an hour before they took our order. Took another hour for our food to come out, and we were handed a dessert menu before our last item was supposed to come. I say supposed to come because even though we ordered it, we were told that it was never put in and we wouldn 't be getting. I don 't understand why this place has such a high rating. The food is mediocre for how expensive it is, the service is slow, and it seems like the chefs are so backed up they can 't get food out at all in a timely manner. I really wanted to like this place considering it has such rave reviews on here, but it seems like the only people I see enjoying this spot are old white couples, so if you don 't look like you own multiple properties, maybe don 't come. This was our second and last time coming here."

"This is my go to place when celebrating something special. Camille’s never disappoints! Spectacular service and delicious food! It’s always hard to choose! I always start with the fresh oysters, and a garden salad. The greens are also crisp and fresh. This time, I got the rack of lamb amazing! I finished the dish I couldn’t save any to bring home, had to finish it! Be sure to leave room for dessert!"

"WORST experience. The band was the worst I've ever heard and so loud we had to scream at each other and read lips. I asked twice if the band could turn the speakers down a bit and the waitress was extremely rude. It took over hours to receive our dinners and only of the arrived at the same time. The waitress was awful and rude to boot. The food was also disgusting. I am almost certain it was off. It was a huge waste of almost for two people. We are not talking a fancy restaurant either. Ridiculous! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!"

"We used to enjoy our visits to Mezzaluna but it has gone downmarket, and the food seems bland. There were customers in scruffy, torn jeans, several screaming children running around, and no hint of the fine dining that the high prices suggest. Service is still good, and the restaurant itself is beautiful, but the atmosphere and food let it down"

"This place is super cute but I wasn't like wowed with the food. I came by after a coffee date nearby and was pleasantly greeted and seated right away by a nice gentleman. They have a drink menu and a food menu. The drink menu was bigger than the food menu, which I found quite funny but didn't mind. We ordered a Tagliatelle Bolognese and a Bigoli Neri Alla Bottarga. Both were good but I've definitely had better. Though, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back! They give complimentary bread which is delicious with the butter! Overall, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back!"

"We had Salmone alla champagne, Salmone Calabrese, Linguine alla Checca, Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, Torta di Ricotta and Affogato. You can say the ingredients were very fresh. The champagne sauce was creamy and delicate and the salmon was gently boiled. The salmon in the calabrese was crisp. The veggies in the Linguine alla Checca were tender, but not mushy. And the gnocchi was padded and held the marinara in the grooves. The desserts were also delicious. Haley was our server. She was very attentive and helpful. All waiting staff were busy servings, cleaning tables, refilling of water and iced tea, and offer garlic toast. It was a very nice meal."

"Came here for the first time for my birthday with my boyfriend, and all I can say is that the food and service are excellent! Esther was our server and she was fabulous!! She mentioned she was newer to serving but she was attentive, polite, well-informed and very personable! We ate the calamari, table side pasta special and the filet special and everything was spectacular! Also the hazelnut gelato was delicious. We will definitely be back!"

"We hosted our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at V&O and it was outstanding! There were a total of roughly 40 guests, which was perfect for the restaurant space. The food (served family style) was excellent in every way; delicious, plentiful with a variety of choices for appetizers, pastas, main courses and desserts. Service was perfect, with good pacing and timing of courses. Open bar, beer, wine and a variety of cocktails were free flowing throughout the course of the evening (they make a terrific Negroni). Partners Rocco Michael made sure all details were taken care of as needed to ensure a seamless dining experience for all of our guests. "Service was excellent, very nice dining room, food was very tasty but the pasta was a little too al dente, slightly undercooked, mine and my girlfriend's. sauces were very good. baked clams were tiny, would not order them again. octopus was fairly tender and tasty, zuchinni flower was very good. I had cheese cake desert which was a small ball type cheese cake, on the dry side and not a lot of flavor, would not order again, too small for 9 dollars a serving. she had the tiramasu which was much better. Soda was 2.50 per glass and no refills, id go back but i know now what to order and what not to order. fairly good deal with groupon."
