"This place is awesome! We moved down to NC a couple years ago from MA. We missed good cheesesteaks and Monks appeared out of the clouds as if a sign to say 'we have your cheesesteaks, come to us ', so we did and haven 't stopped. Monks is our default go-to dinner option. The food is always consistently delicious. We typically get the cheesesteaks and fries, though the onion rings are pretty spot on as well. I recently decided I needed some veggies in my life and went for the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and I think marinaded in something (though I am sure you won 't tell us the secret recipe) and the veggies were super fresh. Last but certainly not least, the staff here is so welcoming and friendly. Every time I come, I enjoy my visit and conversation with Tito and Javi. It is a family owned business and it feels like everyone that goes in is treated like we are part of the big and growing family."
