"Got breakfast here, but boy, do they skimp out on ingredients. I got the dungeness crab omelette, described as coming with avocado. The omelette itself was tasty but couldn't have been made with more than two small eggs. The crab meat itself was great, and I had a few good mouthfuls. The single small slice of avocado that came on top of the omelette... was kind of sad. I got the homefries with it, and they didn't look like photos I had seen in other reviews. Maybe I didn't look close enough. I expected pan-fried potatoes, onions, and peppers. Instead, I got small cubed potatoes that seem to have been deep fried or even air fried. They were crispy and dry on the outside and slightly moist in the center. I got maybe 3 specks of bell pepper, and likewise for the onion. It also came with a biscuit, and this was the star of the plate. The other items might have well been a side to this thing. It came with butter and what I think was strawberry rhubarb jam, which I loved. The buiscuit was crispy on the outside and fluffy in the center. Unfortunately, the food also came out luke-warm, I don't need it to be screaming hot, but it definitely had been sitting at the pass a little too long or something. The staff was very nice and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere. Overall, my meal wasn't bad. It had plenty that I liked, but it was way overpriced for the portion and could have come out hotter/fresher. If the homefries would have been better, that and the buiscuit could have made me overlook the meager omelette. I would like to come back and try dinner sometime. "Great first impression. Visited Red Ox on Thurs night. Super sweet place! The decor and all small details are really nice. It has a cool, funky happy vibe. The chips had to start queso. Loved the fresh tomatoes and paprika in the Queso. It was a bit casual for my taste, but the taste was good. I would have preferred the chips to be warm, but not biggie. I had the beef tacos al carbon. The fajita beef was excellent! Super delicate and perfectly cooked. Not greasy or greasy. Flavor was excellent, although I discovered a hint of liquid smoke, for which I was not interested. Hubby had the chicken enchiladas Verdes he said was great. The rice was quite normal, but good. The fried beans were good at home. The tortillas were homemade too. I saw the chap served and it looked good. It was a happy hour, so we had $4.50 margaritas. The bartender was friendly- he was also our server. The service was good. The menu is quite small. They don't seem to have beef or cheese enchiladas, only chickens and spinach. I was hoping for cheese enchiladas and maybe Tamales. Our only slight complaint was quite loud dance music. Both the loudness and the style of the music were somewhat different from our culinary experience. And it looked like there was a set to have a DJ there that was surprising as the place is quite small. There was only one other table when we were there. I really hope this place starts and expands its menu. I'll be back to try the chap that looked so good."
