"Started frequenting Benji’s because of the taro milk tea with boba. Their pastries are tasty every time. However, I’ve learned that the taste of the milk tea is not consistent and fluctuates between tasting like a hint of vanilla, which is delicious, or tasting like popcorn. They are also frequently out of boba. Usually we get told prior to paying if that is the case and can just avoid ordering the drink since it tastes different without boba, but this time we simply found out upon receiving our drinks, and it was made a slush rather try than with ice (not sure why as that was not what was ordered).So if going for the pastries, get there early enough they still have some but not too early that they aren’t even made yet (once had to wait 1 hour+ after opening). If you get some, guarantee they’ll be good. Same for their sandwiches…As for drinks, good luck. In my experience it’ll either be your favorite drink or one you throw away."
