"Finally tried Bullfrog and while it was a fine breakfast sandwich, it just doesn't compare to the newer bagel establishments in dc. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on an asiago. Let's start with the bagel it was sorta thin, didn't have much chew at all, honestly if it wasn't shaped like a bagel I might not know it was one. It was also weirdly sweet? Which for an asiago bagel was weird. It did ok as sandwich bread though.For the sandwich tasted mostly fine, questionable choice serving a sausage egg and cheese with three sausage links cut in half, just weird and everything falls apart. I don't have one near me so I doubt I'll return anytime soon, I'd go if it was around the corner with no other options but for me not really worth the carbs. Prices are better than other shops (around 7 or $8 for the sandwich), but is it worth it.."

"Been many times the past two years, it's always a great place to go. Seating is usually pretty sparse and the line long but it moves relatively quickly. Very good bagels personally I recommend the eggel with ham and cheese on anything but a plain bagel. Menus are a little hard to figure out depending on what you want too but worth it for their variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors! Good place to stop for brunch!"

"We were very disappointed with this place. We have never been in one and more than likely never will again. The staff, for the most part, were very unfriendly and the bagel sandwiches were definitely not what we expected. Everything was microwaved. First they microwaved the meat, then put it in a plastic container with the egg and cheese and then microwaved again. I think they toasted the bagel itself, but there was no “toastiness” to them. The bathrooms were disgusting. My wife said the women’s faucet only had a trickle to it and was very dirty. Wish I could say something good about the place. :"

"The cashier was a very nice young man, but the guy making my chicken Greek sandwich was so very RUDE!! I walked up after about 10—15 min asked if he had called out our order, then very sarcasticly said,were you listening??!! I said yes sir, I have been.. he said then you would have heard if I called your number or not.. I was totally shocked how rude he was.. also the sandwich was awful.. I have been going there for years.. even when the new owner took over.. I will not be back."

"From warm welcome to the still warmer bagels this place is GREAT! The interior is so unexpected and interesting...love the lights and the color scheme... really a beautiful place. We were there after lunch and have fascinated an unexpected tour. Avon residents are lucky to have a Barry in their midst I remember the place of Toledo when I was in college....big memories and now a place to rekindle all these good times! "Delicatessen? More like Delica-heaven! There were four vegan and vegetarian sandwich options when we visited and they sometimes have vegan creamy tomato soup too! I love the craft sodas on tap, the kola flavor was my favorite. I had the Asian BBQ Tofu sandwich and it was what dreams are made up! "Such a gem — I'd like to say everything is amazing, but truth is I've only ever ordered the turkey club because it is so delicious and haven't been able to convince myself to try anything else yet. Great variety of coffee, pastries, breakfast items, sandwiches, etc., as well as a friendly staff. It's a little bit hidden as it is inside Go Grocer, so make sure to pop inside before heading over to the lakefront!"

"This place has reeeeeeally gone downhill. Growing up I remember stopping in every weekend for bagels on our way to church or sporting events. There was ALWAYS a line out the door. This is not the same Elaine's. This place is gross. There is dust everywhere you look. It looks like they have been under construction for a long time. There are flies hovering over the bagels. Service was not great- she was on the phone via headphones the entire time I was there. I felt like I was interrupting her by trying to order and get out. If you order sandwich, it will be cooked in a plastic container in a microwave. All around not a great experience. I do not plan to come back here and would certainly not recommend it."

"The best coffee. Friendly staff. However, the environment is lacking. And they began to calculate for card use. Many of the tables are tiny and not good for several drinks on them (not even dream about it with a laptop on them). The music can sometimes be very disturbing (as you scream in a rave to have a conversation) and other times it is great. Music really depends on who works. Very few outlets to work there."
