"A great new place in the center of Phoenix. Sekong by Night is a relatively new Cambodia restaurant in the center of Phoenix. There is a tough competition there are several very good Vietnamese and Thai places in the area and Cambodian cuisine, less known than Thai or Vietnamese, both connected. Happy for Diners, Sekong by Night not disappointed. We ate late yesterday. We ordered spring rolls, beef kewers (sort of a Cambodian version of Satay and chicken noodle soup (Cambodian chicken pho). Every dish was excellent. The spring rolls were filled with chicken, shrimp and mint and served with a light fish sauce with diving sauce. It was like eating in a little sky. The soup, served in a large bowl, was meaty with many noodles, served with bean sprouts and mint on the side and again, excellent. The cows were the best of the pile. Served with a diving sauce, a small part of jasmine rice and a small carrot papaya salad. We finished the whole meal with a common desert of fried bananas in tapioca with coconut milk. The whole meal put us back $24, which I considered an excellent price. The average duck is under $10. Portions are the perfect size for a person. A couple can order a common appetizer and two entrees and get out for about $20. I was very impressed by everything that this little hole in the wall (the most prominent turtle says parking behind. The food is excellent, the price is correct and the service friendly."
