"I haven't been to the continental in a vacuum since I was a child. now I live a mile away and always wondered how it was, so we gave it a try. we went early at 17 o'clock and sat right away. I was there, how beautiful it is. sparkling glass and mirror, and large comfortable padded leather chairs and stands. even in the bar! there was a romantic opposite with 'beats for two' and low lighting, and a regular area with tables and chairs, regular large stands and banquets that hold about 8 people. all polished and shiny. our waitress, sandra, could not have been more beautiful! she made us welcome and took care of our needs with a smile. excellent server! we have chicken francese with linguini, baked crabs and lobster cake. each evening dinner came with a suppe or salat, a hot popover and a mini dessert, and the prices are more than fair. plus, they give them free rolls, pumpkin bread, maisfritter, bondiers and cracker for the table! we all really enjoyed our meal. everything was perfectly cooked, the salads fresh and crisp, and the desserts were the perfect size after such a great meal. this is an 'old school style' American restaurant that are very rare in these days. make sure to try out their daily specials, they're just $16.99 for all this! Now I meet because I don't come back years ago. this will be one of our regular spots now! thank you! add: they no longer need dressy clothes."
