"On December 2, I made a reservation through Open Table, party of four for December 26, at 6:30 pm and received confirmation of the reservation from Open Table. I received a notice from Open Table on December 25, to confirm that we would be there. I confirmed with the “l’ll be there” link. When we got to the restaurant, it was closed, no one around. Then on Friday, December 29, I received a ‘Thank you for dining with us’ email from Open Table titled “Your Seated Confirmation for Dining at Big Baobab”. Later that day I received another email from Open Table to write a review titled “How was Big Baobab?” I’ve been using Open Table for many years and this was the worst experience ever with them. Not only was our evening ruined, we had another mishap trying to find a restaurant that was open. While driving around looking for another place, we ran over a major pothole and blew a tire, all because the “confirmed” reservation was not valid. Shame on Open Table!"
