"A lot of people have highly rated the crispy orange chicken. I found it just OK. It was neither crispy nor orange (except for the color). The chefs roll was very good. The hot and sour soup was thicker than I am used to, but I liked it very much. The soda that I ordered was not what I received. And I think I received some crispy rice triangles that are tasty, but not part of my order. Overall, this is a great restaurant. I have eaten at their sister property in Las Vegas. It's a little pricey, but you have a good meal!"

"This restaurant really shouldn't be on this app. For the average person, it seems really very nice and my husband and children enjoy their food. When I asked my server why things like French fries and sweet potatoes are the symbols for *vegetarian* instead of vegan, after checking with the kitchen, she informed me that it is because they also cook meat in the frits... which means they are not vegetarian either. I have tried not to ask any pages with my tofu nuggets what was apparently no option, and my server suggested several things that were made with animal products when I asked (coleslaw- mayo, yams or green bes- butter, etc.). There was no offer for adjustment or accommodation. I landed on macaroni and cheese as a side for my daughter and was further disappointed, my plate with everything that basically stacked one above the other, so naturally cheese sauce was all about everything. As I said, it's really not a bad place and for someone who eats meat, I'm sure it's fantastic, but it's not remote vegan-friendly."

"Met girlfriends here for brunch the last Saturday in June. Let me start by saying this place has a huge parking lot, which is surprising for being in Uptown. I wish I had known that before I took car service. At any rate, my friends were already seated at two high-top tables near the bar area. I get that this place has a great patio, but it was a scorcher that day, and even with the glass doors between the inside and the patio closed, it was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. So, taking off one star for the temperature. Rachel was our server, and she was fantastic! Especially since she told us at the end of our brunch it was her first day. We never would have known it. Her service was on point, and she was waiting on 12 of us! So, applause to her! I started with the Texan Candy cocktail, and it tasted like a watermelon jolly rancher. Yum yum! I ordered the avocado shrimp salad, and it was cool, crisp, and tasty. Half of our group ordered salads, and the other half did the family style brunch. I wish I had participated in the brunch! Everything looked delicious, and I heard the French toast was extra special. The Rustic has been on my list to visit for a decade, and this was my first experience. I definitely want to try it again on a cooler day and also have the family style brunch."

"I wanted to surprise my mother at work with the lunch of this place because I love it, unfortunately they accidentally left something out of my take order so I went back for it. they were so friendly and wonderful that it definitiw my dear to such a jewel of a restaurant in our neighborhood increased. will bring the whole family together safely next time! P.S. the brisket is pointed notch, mama is not a big carnivore, but she ate 1/2 pound brisket plus pulled boar as she had never tasted such a wonderful thing."

"The wait was very long. Way too long for BBQ. 35 minutes at off peak 230. Pm is extreme. The server was extremely nice. I was however very disappointed by the lack of seating. You can not come to sit and eat. There were about 8 tables and all the seats were taken by people waiting for BBQ. Again that wait thing. But, while I hot the lean brisket, that was a little dry, the flavor was amazing. The pork ribs fall off the bone literally. I had man and cheese with was just ok. The baked beans with sausage were awesome. Overall really killer BBQ. One of the best you will find. And bonus : the servings are surprisingly large!"

"Had a lovely dinner here over the weekend. Food was delicious; drinks were too. Loved the entertainment: we would return just to hear and see them. Excellent! Service was top-notch. Loved the location of the restaurant just off the pool. Only tough part is parking for those of us driving over. Do yourself a favor and just park at Hyatt Centric a few blocks away first and then walk to Surfjack: the restaurant will validate a good portion of the charge. Enjoy!"
