"Tabu was definitely an experience! The ambiance was fun and eclectic. The music was enjoyable and the food and drinks were delightful. My only discontent was how close we were seated next to other diners. I felt like I was part of their experience and that took away from my own dining experience."

"Such a bad experience. I?ve been coming here for years and never have been so upset. The waitress was extremely rude and ignored us everytime we asked for her to come over. She charged us for ?to go containers?.I?ve never heard of an establishment charging for food left over after I was done eating. Especially 5 times when there were only 2 of us. My family and friends will never go back to this location."

"I've been eating this place for many years and it takes me back and forth to remembrance that I have from Colombia. eating is good, I have always ordered the bandeja paisa (small version), this time I was decided to order something else. the picada [without the morcilla (bloodworst and asked her to cook it so that the yuca was crispy and the chorizo and chicharon was also crispy. wow it was a huge platelet to share enough; asked for a box for what I couldn't finish. danielle our waiter was amaizing; always where we needed something that required our needs. the only thing I would change is the TV screens, if I wanted to eat before a TV, I would do that at home. maybe they bring the TV screens during the wm and other BIG games / sporting events, that would be my suggestion. will continue to visit this facility"

"I am unsure why this place doesn't get better reviews as my wife and I love it. Now been 4 times, all different times of day and types of cuisine and enjoyed. Currently eating their sausage with a spicy sauce and lemon (thought lemon was an interesting reco by the very friendly cashier but it worked! and it's really really good. Had a nice paella there, their calamari was of the better side of restaurant calamari and they have a cool vibe in there. If you want TVs they're there, if you want to sit by the quasi bakery you can. If you want to have a great cocktail at bar in back, do it, their mojito got me a bitttt tipsy fast but we appreciate the pour. Anyway, good people, authentic food, nice vibe inside, give my people here some credit!"

"this place is a lot of fun. the music, the TVs the drink menu, live music. all fun. The food portions a very large. I only gave it four stars instead of five because I have had better south american style food. bit this is still good food and certainly worth a return visit."

"The MOA hotel is a bit run down, not very fancy, but the food speaks for itself. The staff was great and one thing that really stood out was their general knowledge of the menu. The service was quick and attentive. Pasta was cooked perfectly; The sauce was better than expected and the salad was fresh with a mixed selection of vegetables ... I would go back! FYI /// Skip the bruschetta, not very well !!! It is made with grilled bread (not Gallic) cold grilled onion and sausage or cheese ..."

"I had a confirmed reservation, but when I arrived at the restaurant, it was closed. No one reached out to inform me of the closure or to let me know that my reservation had been canceled."

"As someone from Colombia, I found the food to be just okay. I was hoping for more. The Arepitas with guacamole and ground beef as an appetizer were delicious. However, the main course was lacking in flavor."

"We celebrated as a group with our employees after a long successful day . We had a party of 6 and did not have reservations in advance. Not only was the server great , the entire staff was very accommodating. The atmosphere is nice, the food was delectable and came out hot! Two Parilladas Al Patron 4 sides were ordered at the table and they were cooked correctly filled everyone .We were able to hear each other , converse about our day , unwind . Everyone enjoyed themselves.City tavern is a staple in our city never disappoints."

"First time here most likely our last. Not impressed by taste or serving sizes. Also, they’re not allowing customers to eat in the restaurant so we ended up driving 40+ minutes to this place just to eat in the car."

"The food here was nothing to complain about. I would say a solid 3.5 stars if I could. It was a group of 6 so we all tasted and shared. My youngest had chicken tenders. DON'T order that. 100% tasteless. No flavor at all. But it's not their specialty so . My daughter ordered arroz con pollo... DELICIOUS! the best of all the meals. I had the fried tilapia which was pretty good. My husbands pork was unfortunately dry and lacked flavor... the drinks were fun and tasty. They also had a photographer who took and sold pictures. We accepted and got a very nice family picture. Wayy too pricey if you ask me but I fell for it. There was also a young boy singing traditional music which was a fun ambiance... but went around each take asking for tips. So 2 different money grabs happening during dinner: can't say I love that. I just want to eat! The service was good- attentive waitress who helped us decide on meals and there was no wait. I honestly would go back knowing what's good or bad"

"we have a reservation for 12 in advance. the service was bad and we felt that they didn't want our business from the moment we arrived. we waited for an eternality to place our order and had to demand refills for our limonade. the restaurant was not busy, it was a week night. I would have waited a long time. eating was the only redeeming part of the experience! after we got our food. we have never seen our server again."

"This is my spot! I feel like their iconic, maybe to me! What stands out are the corn shelled empanadas. They are among very few restaurants here in the city that offer it. In all 5 boroughs. I think I’ve found one food truck in Queens and another restaurant that was in Jersey. I had the lunch special which was 2 empanadas with rice and beans. One empanada was ground beef and the other was the Viagra which is a shrimp empanada. Both delicious with the green and red sauces."

"Wish we had not gone here. Sopa de bolas was room temperature, they got my son’s order wrong, and I had to go back near kitchen and tell them it was wrong. So while we ate, my son had to wait a long time. Plus his food was not even worth the wait. What a disaster. The worst part was the soup must have been siting there in room temperature, or just old, cause my mom got very sick in middle of night. NEVER AGAIN will spend money there, not even on a beverage. I called to speak to manger and a girl claiming to be Daniela (she probably gave a false name) said there is no manager, and said she will ask owner to call me. It has been over a week, and no call."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. There are TVs throughout the establishment in case you want to watch something while you dine."
