"We dined at Tavern before starting at UMD. We had visited a few times previously and always had great experiences, but this time was different. Our server was not very attentive, making us wait a long time for drink refills and to place our orders. When it came time to pay, we requested separate bills, but she did not do so. Additionally, when we gave her cash to pay part of the bill before charging the remainder to a card, she did not follow through. Luckily, my husband caught the mistake before leaving an unintentionally large tip. The food did not meet the high standard we had come to expect, perhaps indicating an off day for the kitchen. Overall, we left disappointed and our guests were not impressed with their first visit."
