"This restaurant has been around since the late 1970s, when Dionne Warwick was singing about San Jose. Da Lat is a large city in central Vietnam. The food is good, but the decor is lacking. Prices are lower than most other places, especially the newer, trendier spots. This is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, popular with an older clientele. The menu offers a variety of dishes, but Da Lat excels at rice dishes and cold noodle bowls. The pho may not be their specialty. The egg rolls and spring rolls were delicious. I tried the grilled pork chop rice plate, which was generous enough for two people. Locals, students, and even police officers dine here. Parking can be a challenge, with some people parking on the sidewalk. The focus at Da Lat is on the food, not the atmosphere. Nonetheless, many have been coming here for over 40 years."
