"You hear a lot of people mistakenly call this place Eagle's Nest and it actually might not be such a mistake. Eagle's Nest was the name of Hitler's hideaway and considering the customer service at this place Nest does seem way more appropriate than Best. The food is adequate nothing great, nothing terrible. But it is expensive! I was charged $27 for two bacon cheeseburgers, one order of onion chips and 2 small malts. I could have eaten at either of the sit down restaurants in town for less than that. When I questioned the price, I was told that unless you VERY SPECIFICALLY order a SINGLE cheeseburger with bacon, you automatically get a double. It might be a good practice for them to ask, when someone orders a CB/B, do you want a single or a double? But they don't. So I said my adult daughter and I wanted singles not doubles. She had ordered and had not ordered a double. They argued but eventually gave me a $3 refund. I thought it should have been more so asked the price of the CB/B and was told $5.59. As we ate, I looked at their menu. A cheeseburger is $3.30. So that piece of bacon had cost me $2.29, which seemed excessive. I phoned and asked the price of a cheeseburger $3.30) and the price of adding bacon 1 which would be $4.30). I asked why I had then been charged $5.59. All heck broke loose. I could hear every word in the kitchen as the woman on the phone shared my question with the other woman and man in the kitchen. One of the female voices said that I should be told they didn't need my kind around there and the man got on the phone, yelled at me without ever letting me finish a single sentence and then hung up on me. The basic addition of the order is fairly simple: 2 double cheeseburgers with bacon $4.30 each $8.60, one order of onion chips $3.30 and two small malts 3.99 each $7.98. Total: $19.88 tax $21.25. I was first charged $27.85, then given a $3 refund so had still paid $24.85. They still owed me $3.60. Instead of hearing me out and being honest, they yelled at me, hung up on me, and stole $3.60. Not a huge amount of money but MY money, not theirs. Bottom line they stole from me by over charging and refusing me a full refund. They said I lied when I came to the window with questions the first time. I disagree. My daughter ordered two cheeseburgers with bacon. She did NOT order two DOUBLE cheeseburgers with bacon. There is nothing on their menu that says if you don't say SINGLE, you mean DOUBLE. The customer service is absolutely horrible. So much so, that I won't go back. I won't suggest that anyone else go there, either. We have a lot of company every summer and we eat out a lot. But there are other places that are every bit as good and much more pleasant and fair. There are better malts just down the street and around the corner, better burgers just across the tracks, and better onion rings right next door. Don't waste your money at Eagle's Nest. Or if you do, carry a calculator and ask a lot of questions to be sure they are writing down and charging for exactly what you intend to order."
