"Gertrude's was the highlight of our stay in Kona. Our concierge recommended a dozen places (not Gertrude's) but my wife's manicurist said we should not miss this local favorite. Fabulous food, great service and fantastic entertainment. We went twice in four days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times. Owners are warm and welcoming. Food is delicious. Angels on horseback appetizer to die for. The seafood was great. But the overall vibe is what makes this place unique. Overlooking the waterfront with sunset backgrounds that no artist could capture. I look forward to our next trip to the Big Island so we can return to Gertrude's for more nights of dancing and dining."
