"We love the food at the Tavern, always very good. The grilled cheese sandwich and the tomato bisque soup are the best ever. However, we had a little bit of an issue the other day when we went for lunch. Me and a co-worker of mine had lunch here on Tuesday, and while the waiter brought our food out very quickly (which was nice), he was very slow to come back to our table from that point on. My friend was drinking a soft drink, and had been needing a refill for a long while. We actually asked another server (since ours did not return to the table) if he could get her a refill. The soft drink was in a tiny bottle (diet coke), so she went through them fast. When she got her check, we were both appalled at the fact that she had been charged for each and every refill!!! Not only were we shocked that a restaurant would charge for soft drink refills, but to take it a step further, if a restaurant was going to charge for refills, should they not let the customer know that up front??? It was a little upsetting."
