"Sammiches. This is one of those places where you have a feeling that you will be back to try everything on the menu. came to a whim and left the knowledge that I found my new local deli. Sandwiches are made with love and pride and you will enjoy every bite as I did. People who work there are good, solid people and you can say that they love to make great food. Definitely a local jewel."

"I ordered a pizza with chicken, onions, mushrooms and green peppers. When I got my order there was no chicken on the pizza. I also ordered the catfish which they clearly state comes with fries and a soda. I didn't get the fries nor the soda. When I called the store the guy I spoke to said I didn't order chicken on my pizza, which is a lie because it is clear as day on my receipt. He also said the catfish comes by itself, on the app (I used Uber eats) the menu state that the catfish comes with fries and soda. He offered me free food for the next time I order instead of fixing the problem immediately. No thank you, I just wanted what I paid for. Plus the food was not that good. No seasoning, no taste! I will never order from here again! Be warned! You will not get what you pay for, what's on the menu is not what you get."

"I called on the phone and ordered cheese Raviolli party tray and I asked for a pink sauce. The manager said it 's $10 extra for a pink sauce. It was $60+ plus $10 pink sauce , total came up to $79.02. She read my order on the phone and she said with Alfredo sauce and I corrected, pink sauce . She said it 's Alfredo sauce mixed with marinara. And I said okay, however you guys make it but as long as it 's pink sauce my daughter always order it that way when we used to eat there . We picked up my order and went straight to the party only to find out it 's not what I ordered when we arrived at the party. She gave me cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce instead. I called them and I spoke to another employee. She passed the phone to another female which apparently she said she 's the manager and she said she was the one I spoke to on the phone when I placed my order. She insisted that she repeated my order and that I asked for Alfredo sauce Basically insinuating that I 'm lying! . If that is true as she claimed, then why am I being charged extra $10 for a pink sauce? Mind you, I have a witness. My boyfriend was with me and heard what I said when I placed the order. The cheese Raviolli wasn 't good either! There were still a lot of left overs from the party. For the price I paid and messing up my order, overall it 's a waste of money! We used to come here as a regular customer La Habra Branch but we stopped coming here coz the quality of their food is going downhill. I thought I would give it another try for pick up convenience since the party was near to this location, but it was a BIG mistake! Now they will lose my business for good! Bad customer service doesn 't deserve second chances! I will tell my friends and family not to come to this place!"

"You say “Powder pork” and I’m like Pavlov’s dog Cuz I start gravitation towards Jake Roadhouse. I found this place in the summer of '08 when I first discovered the Friday night Farmer market on Myrtle Street. When I walk around, I could smell all the grill that was cooked, so I followed my nose. If you order a pulled pork sandwich at the stand, its about $1 more than if you just go over the street to their store. Her pulled pig is by far the best I ever had. The meat is perfectly marinated and very delicate. The sauce is brownish. I also heard from mouth propaganda that their raspberry lemon pancakes were legendary, so I had to try it one morning. It has a light sweet tar flavor. It was divine with a glass of ice cold milk. Your land breakfast is also very popular, which is very sweet of raspberry lemon pancakes, 2 eggs, sausages and potatoes. This is too much for me, so I usually only the raspberry lemon pancakes. Again, I am a creature of habit, so I usually always have the same thing, so I rarely venture from the two items described above. I have many friends here in the last two years and they all loved it. They are very easy to arrange even group meals. I have their covered back terrace with heated lamps for a large breakfast that I once hosted. The ambience of the place is very up to earth with red tablecloths, vintage license plates on any available space on the walls and sawdust peanut shells on the ground. Yah, kind of like Lucilles, but much more to Earth. Anyone who works there is super nice, including the waiting staff. I never had a problem there, whether in or to eat. You also have a few benches outside, which is great if you have just seen a movie a few shops down at the Krikorian Filmtheater. This picturesque Myrtle street offers a very nice walk to any day or night time. Big suburb. Parking is usually never a problem since there are many adjacent street parking spaces and private business areas. Simply read the characters and observe the parking times limits to avoid tickets."

"We shared big bill's combo, we went for the 1/2 slab of ribs with brisket and pulled pork. We chose mac and cheese with fries as our 2 sides. The ribs were great, super tender, practically fall off the bone. The brisket was so juicy and flavorful I forgot to put any sauce on it. The pulled pork was light and fluffy like a little pillow of delicious. The fries are outstanding and there dipping sauce for them is great. The mac and cheese would not be a choice of mine next time though."

"Friday night, Braves away... started our night here at the battery for some beer and BBQ. We had a table near the bar and serviced by bar staff who did a fantastic job, 5-stars. Ambiance was good, lots of TVs to watch the game, with plenty of beer and food options. We started with the half and half appetizer (pickle and jalapeños) where the breading was too thick and size of pickles and jalapeños cut was very thin and small. I'd pass on ordering this again, not worth taste or value. Then we ordered ribs, brisket, smoked wings, and some sides. Brisket was amazing, we chose thick cut and fatty from the point. Seasoning was perfect and our table would rate 9 stars out of 10 (two thumbs up for sure). The slab of ribs was average but tasted good (excellent rub), probably cooked much earlier and kept warm for evening service making them have some tug on the bite and very chewy. Wings average, more char (burn) than smoke flavor. All sides dishes, a bit disappointed... just bland, not tasty (salty collards, over mayo slaw, dry cornbread and jalapeño flavor lacking). But overall, food and beer together was perfect. Bar staff was great. We definitely recommend to visit, but perhaps late afternoon or early evening for best quality on BBQ food."
