"Stopped by La Laguna Taqueria after volunteering at the Marin Food Bank with some coworkers in the morning. The man behind the counter (presumably the owner) was incredibly inviting and friendly, and full of great recommendations. This place is apparently known for their carnitas, but unfortunately, I don't eat pork and was unable to try it. I opted instead for two simple Carne Asada Tacos. The Carne Asada definitely wasn't the best I've ever had (I usually prefer my carne asada with a slight char, but I really appreciated how much they fulled up their tacos with meat, it was almost overflowing, my boss even made four full looking tacos with the two stacked tortillas. The tomatillo sauce on top was also very spicy and flavorful, which made the tacos even better.Definitely will come back when I volunteer again, if for nothing else but support a great small business in the area."
