"First, this is a dipping bar/restaurant. Besides TVs on the walls and a video game in the corner, nothing has changed here since the 1960s. Places like these can only be as good, and in general spots are usually the local regular and the owners love. Judge it on what it is and know before you go and you should not be disappointed (or woven). We had hot dogs, a few pages, soft drinks and beer. The dogs were basically like street sales dogs in town. Kept hot in a large pot of water, and in a steamed bungalow with everything you want. Although in the menu described as famous if the dogs were a special type or brand, you wouldn't know. I'll say I really enjoyed the chili on mine. She had not received her 's with the works including chili, and ended with one of my chili dogs for her Imo, the chili dog is the way to go. Fries and the onion rings were on the dark side and the rings were on the fat side (oil was probably overdue for a change). Nice that the designs were served in a beautiful icy cup, a beautiful plus. But although icy cold, they were surprisingly small. I doubt they were 12 ounces, and would not be surprised if they were 10 ounces (or less). But since we have no idea how much we have paid for the designs (the menus have no prices on them, nor does your check from the register break it off), I have no idea whether they were small and overpriced, or small and a bargain. Waitstaff are nice and cheerful to move things. Never had one down for a refill or another dog. Although they were busy on a day of play, food and drinks came quickly. We will make a special trip to go back, probably not. If we were on Rt 123 in Vienna at noon, why not. It is not bad for the place that it is, but could certainly be better (IF they wanted to be)."
