"We had an excellent meal consisting of seafood soup, green curry soup, Amaebi avoTower, king Kong roll, and a sashimi roll. Everything was fresh, presented for both the eyes and the pallette. The seafood soup is tasty and full of seafood, the green curry soup was delightful and is not too hot (spicy and I didn't expect it to be. The head of the amaebi was perfectly prepared and delicious, as was the rest of the Amaebi avoTower (sweet shrimp, tuna, mango, avocado . All told, recommended. Don't overlook the specials menu. (The Amaebi avoTower is seasonal only on the Specials menu. See the photos"

"I saw a good Chinese. I wanted to go somewhere and see the facility, the staff, etc. I started with just the basics, chicken fried rice and went through the menu. I find the food very tasty and a good value. The staff was always friendly and nice. It's my farewell from now on."

"the food was good. the sushi was a little for the price. it is better to buy from meijer honestly. equal price, better made, fresh daily, larger part. the service was terrible. she didn't wake up if we wanted to nudge or ride with our dinner and I got rice. it was okay, but the nudges would have been better. I was not offered soy sauce and had to ask quickly for our suppe and salat because it did not seem to be harassed with us. I treated her a better table. I used to be a server that knows they're profiled people. I and my man were casually dressed and look young so they probably decided that we were not worth their time. I've tipped them a little over 20 percent, because she might have been frustrated with something or whatever, but her tipp would have been better if she at least tried to take care of herself. I'll never be back."

"My favorite go to sushi place at my job. Usually order through grub hub and delivery is always fast. Love getting the lunch special option of 3 rolls and miso soup. Their miso soup always hits the spot. Usually get the lobster roll, spicy tuna or salmon crunch roll and salmon avocado roll. Quality is always super fresh with large chunks of meat. So satisfying and delicious for the price."

"The world food tour continued …. At Panya Bistro in the Hokua condo. We stopped in for an early dinner after seeing Beautiful at the Concert Hall (a bravura performance by the cast). We arrived early (4pm) so the restaurant was pretty empty but were told by the hostess about their 90-minute time limit policy. Okay, better to tell us up front than during our meal. Service was leisurely so that might have been somewhat of a concern but it worked out satisfactorily. We started with a couple of Hendricks gin and tonics with limes instead of the more proper slice of cucumber. A very refreshing beginning …though I wish bartenders would note what garnish goes with certain gins. We ordered three dishes: Pork Chops over fried rice, Pad Thai with chicken and Stir Fried Vegetables with Beef. First off, the pork chop dish is huge! Slices of breaded boneless chops are placed over a subtle fried rice (Chinese style … on the drier side) and covered with a very sweet tomato sauce. The texture and taste reminded me of waffles with maple syrup. It was very good but the sweetness of the tomato sauce was off-putting to me; not bad, but unexpected. The Pad Thai was fine; nothing to complain about. The highlight dish for me was the stir fried vegetables with beef. The vegetables (broccoli, green beans, slices of carrot and mushroom) were crisp and the cubes of beef were very tender. The sauce was thin but savory; it let the beautiful vegetables take center stage. I could have just eaten this dish with a bowl of rice. No room for dessert but I finished my meal with a Thai iced coffee. The coffee was excellent and shone through the generous serving of milk. So cool and refreshing; I could have consumed two glasses. Final thoughts … we hadn’t been to Panya Bistro in a long time; the food was very good and the service was fine (we left after 93 minutes). Parking in the Hokua is convenient and free with validation. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable."

The parking lot can get quite crowded, but it's conveniently located right off the expressway. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!"

"I love places like this a local dive. Cutlery doesn't match, the place needs a rehab, but the food is good, the service friendly and fast and the prices decent. The bathroom is clean which implies that the kitchen is clean as well. The pies and ice cream are great too. Now, to my ratings the atmosphere is either a one star or a five star if you like places where locals hang out to eat, then this is a five a tourist would rate this a one. This'll be my go to place when I'm in the area."

"I understand why my parents and grandparents have been visiting this place regularly since a very long time (perhaps 1982). Excellent stromboli with a great balance of dough, meat, cheese, and peppers. Despite having a little too much cheese and not enough broccoli, radishes, or peppers, the chef salad was still really tasty. Overall though, I'm eager to return because we're looking for a Pottstown establishment that can take the place of Ice House."
