"Someone highly recommended Don Ramon us, because of the addition of bean dip to salsa usually served with tortilla chips. The chips were ‘ok’, salsa was ‘just ok’ ... it was definitely taken off stars when I found a hair in it. And the bean dive was warm and delicious. However, we have a small bowl of each and no one ever offered to refill our chips, salsa or bean dimmer. The place we usually go (Don Jose) is always johnny on the spot with refills of chips, salsa and drinks – so we were not used to being basically ignored. The refills on beverages were also difficult to achieve. Hubby had Chile Relleno what he said was not as good as Don Jose. I had the tamal and shredded beef taco. The Tamale was just like that. We both agreed that rice was bland and unstoppable. The best was the shredded beef taco, but it wasn't wonderful either. The fried beans were good, and the Cheddar who overlaid them was melted to perfection. I'll give them this! Overall, it was not a wonderful culinary experience. The clientele seemed to be people living in the neighborhood and going there all the time. The place was petty and some of it seemed for repairs, right? For me, it translated into a... it felt like you were going to a dentist in a strip-mask. In contrast to the dentist, however, they had on their way a bowl with suckers available. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't recommend it to my friends."
