"Living with major gluten issues, is difficult-especially when I go out to eat. I called ahead of time to ask about their GF options. I told them I was interested in a salad dish. They called the chef, got ingredients, and I called them back. They told me specifically the ingredients of the dressing and it was completely GF. When I arrived, they knew about my gluten issue and they were able to prepare my dish separately!!! I didn’t get sick. The strawberry salad and chicken was DELICIOUS. I’ll be going back! My boyfriend loved the shrimp tacos.Dietary restrictions: They went over and beyond to cook my dish separately (gluten allergy)."

"The service was good with a knowledgeable server but the food had issues. The person who prepared the Oysters did not know how to correctly, they were mangled up in the shell, not whole. The Steaks were no great, very little flavor. The mashed potatoes had no seasoning at all. Dessert and service were the best parts of the meal."

"My wife and I together with another couple on the 5th. June a wine tasting dinner. We sat in an area that was away from the main event and did not hear any discussions about the wine. In addition, we were last served with the wine for any course served before the course. Of course the wine was gone before dinner. Very bad service. The wine was very good and we even bought some, but the service and the food made for a bad night. Not worth what we paid from every track. Then to finish a bad night, the restaurant has charged my credit card for full dinner for 4 people and it will charge again for 1/2 full dinner as well as the other couples credit card for 1/2 meal. They received twice the cost of meal! I talked to my credit card company and hopefully they're working on it. I don't think we're going back to this restaurant."

"First time in. Made a reservation online. (I recommend a reservation) I had the ultimate bacon sandwich. Most flavor filled form of a BLT I've had. My wife had the Valhalla burger and says it was amazing! Best burger she's had in a long time. We will be going again as the menu is full of food I want to try! "As easy as it is to find enjoyable restaurants of every stripe in New York City, I can remember my parents laboring to find good ones in NJ, where I grew up. Now, having moved back after decades in NY, I have to concede what the owner of our local body shop says--there aren't enough good places. We tried Cafe Chameleon for the first time this weekend, and while the bar was hoppin, the dining room was calm, with two young servers handling five active tables spread out in the large room. There were half a dozen four-tops available, but we were seated next to a table with two couples who at times shrieked with laughter: my wife remarked quietly that, in France where she grew up, the maitre d' would have asked those diners to be more considerate. (It's possible the restaurant was trying to calm the couples by seating us there, as there had also previously been a group of diners at the table they placed us at. The drinks were good, and I imagine a serious wine enthusiast would enjoy the thoughtful list...don't know why the server didn't think to offer it...while the food was merely okay. (The octopus my wife and son shared was nicely prepared; the main courses were all meh. One of the co-owners greeted us warmly during the meal, after the loud couples had gone, and there may be good dinners to be had here, if someone knows what Chameleon does well, but this didn't join our slowly-growing list of till-next-time places."

"Very casual atmosphere. Most were in shorts or bathing suits with cover ups. Tables inside were rocky and didn’t match up to each other. Server was nice drinks strong. We had burrata as an app it was very good. We had Spazio chicken prosciutto was over cooked. Spaghetti was good though. Bread was hard and dry. They automatically add 18% gratuity and don’t tell you but when paying by card with the machine it asks you to choose your gratuity amount. (Even though 18% was already added). Not happy. All in all it was okay. Band was good though. Probably won’t be back"

"I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta, which was delicious. It had the right combination of creamy sauce, tomatoes, chicken and pasta. They have a number of interesting beers on tap, as well as other drinks. Fortunately, we arrived during happy hour, and it wasn't too busy. Later, it became quite busy. It is a great place to meet friends for food and conversation, and I will be returning."

"The experience and food was just O.K., the French onion soup had a slight smoke taste to it, I don’t know if they finish it in their pizza oven or not, but it took away from the overall flavor. My ice tea was served with “something “ that could not be identified floating in it. I showed it to the waiter and he said it was from the lemon really? , I asked for a new glass of tea which also had that hint of smoke flavor. The beets in my salad looked “old” but tasted ok. Chicken was a little dry. Overall, just O.K. And I won’t return."
