"I’ve eaten here before but it had been several years. Came today and I was really happy with my food but I was especially with the service I received from several staff members. I came here on a whim immediately after having a bad experience at a place down the block where I ended up throwing my dinner in the trash after their management didn’t believe me/care when I politely pointed out an issue with my meal. I hadn’t eaten enough so I wanted a few bites of anything else, and I remembered this spot being good and quick in the past. I ordered a meatball sub and took my seat, and shortly after someone came to my table to apologize to me that they had just run out of meatballs and asked what I’d like instead. They even brought me two bags of (very good) baked goods as an apology. It was jarring in the best way to be treated so kindly after my disappointing experience elsewhere. My meal was great. Next time I need something quick in the area I’ll make this my first stop!"

"Have loved it here for many years. Sadly not at the moment. Staff needs training. Servers repeatedly forgot requested items then one simply dropped them on the table with a sorry afte 2 requests and 20 mimute wait. Then when we were nearly done they brought it. Servers not familar with menu items. Soda gun needs cleaning (moldy taste on seltzer). This is not the pre fire Setauket Mario 's we knew and loved. Music was so depressing cut after cut of 70s drab hits weird. Bar and seats were empty on a holiday Friday at 830? That might tell you all you need to know. Please train staff. Fish was good but chicken was tough and over salted. Pound it flat. Twice had to get server when restaurant mostly vacant. Sad to see an old favorite struggle."

"Five stars for sure!. Dined with a very good friend on Valentine's Day evening. We were seated slightly before our reservation time at a hi-top but then offered almost immediately a regular table which we declined. Initial offer of drinks was a little slow in arriving but after that service was superb by Jack, a very well informed and well-spoken young man. The menu for that evening was abbreviated due to the expectation of heavy business. We had expressly chosen Angelo's to have veal parmigiana which was not included on the abbreviated menu. Upon request Jack consulted with Angelo and the dish was quickly and graciously served to us. We did enjoy the salad served to us before our entree; we did request the salad be lightly dressed and our request was filled. The garlic rolls were very enticing when served although upon sampling the pesto butter was not to my particular likeing. Would very definitely return for dinner and I am interested in trying their lunch offering."

"We ordered 260.00 worth of food not one part of the order was correct ordered veal got eggplant and the amount of oil at the bottom of the dish looked likethey emptied the fryer in the dish .order the steak house salad no steak showed up .order pasta withvodka sauce got past with red sauce and the list goes on you would think the rest Would due there due diligence when sending out and order so big NOPE NEVER AGAIN chicken dish only had 1 piece of chicken like come one $27 for 1 piece"
