"I have been going here for several years and have never been disappointed with the food. Also love having the water view here. The sushi is consistently great and there are many rolls to choose from. This time, we tried the banana spring roll for dessert. It tasted similar to bananas foster. The plum wine was also good. I do miss when they had booth seating a few years ago. It felt more cozy than the current chairs they have."

"Authentic Chinese food! Try "soft tofu rice noodles" with chili which is a typical local street food in Kunming."

"I came to this restaurant from Portland because my craving for Soondubu was becoming unbearable. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed by the cozy atmosphere and inviting aroma."

"First time at Shinsen and we plan to come back. Many interesting items on the menu to try and everything we tried was excellent. Service was good but timing of food delivery could have been better. Overall service was slow so plan on over an hour for dinner for two. Not sure but delay may have been in the preparation not delivery of the food. Ladt item we received was the crispy spring roll (I think this was the name) which we would have expected to be the first item (appetizer) served One other note could not find a link to a menu either through Open Table or Shinsen website Regardless try it for the great food"

"The presentation was wonderful and the staff were exceptional however it was a bit pricey for the portions. Sushi rolls did not have a large amount of rice which was nice. Wasabi dollops were also impressively sized. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100"

"You finally found it. The owner led a small sushi bar inside the defunct Asia Supermarket in Naperville. After he had just pulled the street into a lisle, IL-Streifen-Mall, he expanded his food from Sushi to some Japanese and Korean dishes. Diving, running and catering options are available. The sushi options are extensive and there are almost 40 Japanese/Korea dishes on the menu. In this spaly decorated restaurant there are half-a dozen tables and a handful of bar stools on the window. Prices are quite reasonable as these are parts. The food is fresh. Service is good."

"I usually don't take the time to write a good review for a business, but Mei 's is really a jewel in a sea of American food. I went today for the first time with a Japanese employee who recommended it very much. The service, the atmosphere and especially the food were all stellar. I have eaten Japanese food all over the country from NYC to San Fran and this facility has beaten them all. Everything was fresh and delicious. You need to go for lunch and get the Bento box, which with artistically prepared pleasures for just about $10! It included soup, salad, roasted vegetables, grilled fish, sushi, vegetables and shrimp tempura, perfect rice, hot green tea and a variety of sauces and small spices. Most people spend this on a fat waste tray at the food dish. They fly their fish twice a week fresh and all staff are friendly and happy to answer all the questions you might have about menu items. I'm just sad I never knew about Mei anymore. I'll go to dinner tomorrow and win friends. A! Stop the fabulous work."

"After driving around for an hour and discovering how many restaurants are now closed in this area of Seattle, we lucked out by finding the local sushi spot. Although you only get 4 pieces, the Kasaki roll was amazing. Anything with that soy paper wrapping strongly recommend. Service was surprisingly fast for a sushi restaurant and the waiter was very patient and accommodating to my son who has special needs. Great value for the money.Parking: This is not a slight in any way toward the restaurant, but parking in Seattle, in general is a complete sh!t show. As a positive, this neighborhood was one of the few that didn’t charge for parking, IF you could find a spot. There is room for maybe 4 cars along the road outside of the restaurant and if willing to walk, more space up and down the road."

"This place has excellent authentic Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. The whole food reminded me of my visit to Japan. I have the Tonkatsu rays that were delicious. The broth was rich and creamy and not excessively salted. Not the best ramen I ever had, but definitely the best I had in Ohio. The sushi was excellent and the sushi chef comes from Japan. The tempura was delicious and well roasted. Overall fantastic experience in this place. I will definitely be back in the future."

"Went to go get dinner for the family. The open sign in the front is flashing. There is a printed sign on the front door stating DAILY HOURS:10am-9pm. Yet both doors were locked. The cashier was in the front on the phone and kept mouthing to us that they were closed.Very annoyingService: 1/5"

"Perfect tempura, great prices, fresh everything. There’s so much volume everything is right from the start. Top picks? Miso black cod, soft shell crab. I’d have those all day everyday. Downside? Expect a wait for peak times. Easy solution, get there for the early bird , a great assortment different from the bento."

"First and foremost, the food is delicious. However, my eggrolls were slightly overcooked but not burnt. The sauce that came with them was immaculate, but they didn't even fill the container halfway. While I blame myself for only ordering a mild pad thai, it lacked a little depth of flavor/kick. I'm willing to give them another try, though. Also, it may be just me...but the price point is a little high."

"What a great find! Everything here was awesome, from the Miso soup to the specialty roll, to our Bento boxes. Their luncheon Bento box is a great deal for lunch. $14 Best miso soup we've had in a while. The shrimp in the bento box was tender and flavorful, along with broccoli and sauteed onions. The server gladly exchanged the pork gyosa for shrimp as it was a Friday in Lent. After we drained out water glasses quickly, our server brought us over a bottle of water for refills. Just a great lunch for a good price. We finished off with bubble tea to go--try the Thai flavor. Service was highly efficient and attentive."

"Got really excited when this place came up during a web search for another Izakaya. Convinced my partner to give it a try after reviewing other comments on line. The parking should have been a giveaway; trashy, unkept and not maintained, poor street appearance. We walked in and the interior didn’t look much better. Should have left then. But like a toothache, I wanted to try the food. The tempura was crudely chopped hunks of vegetables, greasy, and without flavor. The Hamachi Kama was large and looked okay but had a fishy smell to it and the presentation was lacking; some shredded cabbage and a small dollop of grated radish and an equal amount of dipping sauce and half a slice of lemon. Oy!The several pieces of nigiri looked okay, but we’re not spiced with any wasabi or sauce and the sushi rice was atrocious; it wasn’t even sushi rice but mealy, overcooked and flavorless plain rice that tasted awful. We asked the server if the Tamago was home made, in the restaurant. She assured us that it was. When she delivered it it was the industrial orange yellow, homogenized tamago, which we sent back. The staff was clearly not familiar with the menu and didn’t know their own dishes. Definitely not Japanese, and that included the ‘chef’.We spent over $120 on this meal. It thought me not to rely on general reviews, but trust my first instincts.Avoid at all cost.Parking: Not ADA compliant. Dirty weeds growing around the perimeter. Unkept."
