"Everything about our meal and experience was TOP NOTCH. Came to OKC to see our son who’s stationed her for USAF and brought him to a nice dinner to celebrate. The guys started with Woodford old fashions, me a glass of cava. Our waiter, who we so sadly forgot his name (I know he was 25, a handsome African American man and he had twists in his hair which he wore up) was so charming and full of knowledge! He suggested starting with with the lobster-cargot which was SO yummy…reminded us of lobster bisque and the chunks of lobster were quite large. The fresh sour dough bread was excellent for dipping in the sauce from these. We ordered a bottle of my favorite wine, Machete, by Orin Swift. As in any restaurant, the wine prices are way inflated, but this was a special occasion so hey! Our server decanted the bottle for us table side and presented it beautifully. The guys did the large filets and the accompaniment sauces (Roquefort and peppercorn) were awesome! I did the NY strip with truffle foie butter and it was incredible! The broccoli and the bacon jalapeño macaroni and cheese were chosen for our shared sides and both were on point. Our son was given his choice for a complimentary birthday dessert and he chose a HUGE, yummy, warm, chocolate spice cake which was so good. Great experience here and we will certainly return!! Bravo Mickey Mantle’s!! Also please compliment our server, he’s so very wonderful!"

"they advertised 2 for 1 appetizers and that is why we went. We tried this restaurant 4 yrs. ago and wasn't all that great then that is why we didn't come back. So we thought we would give it another try and it was still pretty much the same thing. Although I did get a hair in my appetizer which was off putting. They brought me another app but everyone was finished eating by the time it got there!! "Well once again, number 13 came out swinging. Michelle was there tonight and made sure we had the same table as before and we just absolutely love it. We didn't wait long to be seated. We had phenomenal service again. Our food I felt was better than the first time. My wife and I had the Filet and the lobster tail and Mac and cheese. Soooo good. "For starters, it was very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone to even book my stay let alone to answer any questions. When I finally talked to someone the woman was rude and not able to answer my question. Despite this, booked three rooms for 6of us for a weekend. The castle is pretty cool but old (that was expected). The beds were uncomfortable in all three roomsthough. It was not very clean. We booked the Haunted History Dinner which was horrible. We expected ghost stories that happenedin the castle along with a history on the people who built it and lived there. Instead it was pretty much a three hourcommercial for the guy 's paranormal you tube channel. Not to mention my 18 year old being singled out as a non believer by oneof the presenter 's assistants. It made my 18 year old very uncomfortable causing her to leave before the end. The food at thedinner was terrible. The chicken was dry and the proportions were totally uneven between plates. Where the dinner was held issurrounded by rooms and the spa. My daughter and niece stayed in a room off the dinner space which would have been awkward if wehadn 't been in the dinner. A couple did come out of the spa in robes in the middle of our dinner. They looked mortified andembarrassed! The bar drinks were decent but very expensive for Kirkland Vodka! The second night, my mom and sister 's room had aceiling leak. The staff couldn 't get a hold of the owner and apparently had no authorization to do anything. Finally anotherstaff person was called in from home and booked them a room in a nearby hotel. Rather than refunding their room, the ownerrefunded the brunch for the six of us, which was weird since we didn 't all move to a hotel. I would not recommend staying here.We did catch the end of a drag show after the boring dinner which was fun! I would say if you want to visit the castle go to thedrag show! Also, Lou was the best staff person there. He is awesome!"

"I was with my sibling and they had a sleeveless (not muscle) shirt on. we were rejected for the hemdes they had. the hostesses had both spaghetti string low cut revealing tops on (like other guests.) when I asked myself to speak with a manager, the manager said it was a 50-year-old policy (not published in restaurant or on the website) that “small” must have sleeves. I asked if she was my siblings sexually male. she was quiet, then I asked again and she said, "we don't have to go there." we went quietly. I asked them what other 50 years old policies they have. from the opposite I admit that the outdoor terrace location is one of the better prospects, but eating (including the chowder) is best in average. very short walk to other major restaurants that have better eating, which are more tolerant and welcoming."

"Everything at The Wooden Nickel was great. However, the service was outstanding. We started with cocktails: a cinnamon toast crunch martini and salted caramel apple mule, which were both like desserts. We enjoyed the Ma! The Meatloaf and Capo dei Capi Chicken as entrees. The presentation of the meatloaf was especially nice. It tasted as good as it looked. All of the flavors melded together nicely from the jalapeño cheese bread to the whipped potatoes and bacon wrapped meatloaf with crunchy onion rings and a hint of barbecue sauce. The chicken was also tasty. We got so much to eat that we didn't have room for dessert. We look forward to returning."

"The food and service at LG's is top notch. We both had a steak (filet), and it was absolutely delicious. Not an ounce of fat on them. Our server was fantastic and even brought a free dessert for my birthday. The restaurant was pretty busy, but we were seated in a back room that was quiet. I would definitely recommend LG's to anyone who loves a great steak."

"I've had the pleasure of dining a Jubon's twice now. Five years ago I fell in love with the Hallaleujah Crab and palate cleansing citrus sorbets in between courses. Last week, I observed a more casual climate with no less polish or perfection. The Maytag blue cheese beautifully complimented the summer wedge salad. Gumbo was chock full of flavor and meat. We were too full to partake of dessert, but every detail of the meal was well-thought out. Service from David Gipson was impeccable. What a gracious host! We'd come back to Jubon in a heartbeat. My only regret is that it's quite a drive from Houston."

"Me and my friends had the WORST experience in this place. We waited an hour for our food to come out. When it came out most of the things were cold and packed to-go. We wanted to stay and eat at the restaurant but the server basically kicked us out 30 minutes before closing because she “had to take the chair in and close up”. She said she didn’t get payed to stay after closing so she kicked us out. The pasta that I ordered had NO pasta, only the sauce, they told us it was a mistake from the cook. They just added cold pasta after I made the claim. Again, the service was terrible. After we had our food packed up we had to sit across the street. By the time we finished up, the tables of the restaurant were still out… I payed $17 to get a dry packed up sandwich. Anyway, horrible experience. Don’t waste time and money eating here, there are better places in the city."

"I really didn't know how many stars to give. Service was excellent. However, I got the Whole Maine Lobster with Asparagus. The kitchen had done the work for me. I got 2 huge claws the ribs and tail. Very rubbery and hard to chew. No taste at all. I'm pretty sure it was an old lobster judging from the size of the claws. Same with the Asparagus. No taste. Did I say the Service was excellent?"

"Went in for a date night and left with one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in Baton Rouge. It's rare that I can say everything was perfect, but I found myself astonished at every bite. I almost cried after biting into my filet. The last time I had such a perfect meal was at Emeril's in New Orleans, and this experience definitely compared."
