"I had heard mixed reviews about the freshness of the food at this restaurant in Irving, but decided to give it a try. I ordered the windshield wiper pakora and fish 65 to start, followed by chicken biryani and a dessert. The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was good as well. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The next day, I wanted to go back for some pakora and chai, but unfortunately, they didn't have chai available. My suggestion to them would be to remove items from the menu if they are not being served."

"This place is just awesome. Visited last Thursday evening for the all-vegan buffet and was blown away by everything. So many delicious choices for food, kind and fantastic people helping out. Loved the Pani Poori demostration, the dosa were to die for, and I ate waaay too much Saag Tofu. Everything tasted SO good. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Thank you!!"

"Order never arrived on time, no matter how much earlier it was ordered. I literally ordered before 1 hour and after reaching the place at the pick up time, they made me wait for 15 more minutes to give my food. This is ridiculous and you guys definitely have to work on this. People order in advance to cut the wait time and what’s the point of ordering them before? Do you really care of your customers time? If so please respect it and work on your time management. It happened to me several times and each time I have to make sure I have my order ready reaching there.. this means you guys only start working on the order after someone reaches the place?Note: restaurant is not busy at all for dine ins to assume it took them a while to work on mine.Very disrespectful!!!!!"

"Raas is a beautiful Indian restaurant in a restored Victorian house in downtown Lewes, Delaware. The ambience is excellent and there is a veranda that offers outside the restaurant. Each interior has a socket for charging phones, etc., which is convenient. Only my wife and I fed Raas tonight. We started with drinks - she had a spicy mango margarita that was definitely spicy and I had a 1947 beer (wish they had more Indian beers). For an appetizer we had the Cauliflower Manchurian, who were Spcy Fritte with a dipping sauce - delicious, but don't order this dish if you can't treat hot. For dinner I had the deconstructed Pork Vindaloo and my wife had the Lamb Shank roganjosh. Both dishes were well presented. The lambry is served in a small bucket of sauce, which makes it a little chaotic to get to your plate - you have to take it quite a lot with your hands. I was in Indian restaurants where you eat with your hands, but I don't think they thought this as a hand-on experience. The Roganjosh sauce itself was just OK. Light glands. The Vindaloo was also bland. The pig was perfectly cooked, but pork pliers are very bland on their own, and the deconstructed preparation means that the pig does not boil in the sauce and does not absorb any taste. The Vindaloo sauce simply did not serve the pork roast on the side. I applauded her genuity, but the taste simply lacked. Overall for the three dishes, two drinks and an order of butter naan was $120 in front of top. We will definitely go back to Raas, but would not get back from these ducks. We will definitely get the Cauliflower Manchurian back. There are many vegan options on the menu, so we will visit again in the summer when our vegan family and friends are in town will update my review after I tried other entrees."

Even the owner served us our food and wished blessings upon us for our upcoming marriage and gave us great advice as a man who has been married for 40 years. "I don't like writing negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant on my birthday, October 18, 2022, was very disappointing. We didn't receive our dinner until around 8:30, even though we had a reservation for 7:15, and we didn't get our drinks until after our entrees. The service was very slow and it was difficult to get the attention of the servers. The cocktail tasted strange and was lukewarm. Aside from the chili chicken, which was mostly good, all of the food had an unpleasant taste. Even the papadum was overpowering, and the basmati rice had a taste that was almost like mold or heavily chlorinated water. The flavors were unbalanced, lacking salt, tang, or being too sweet. It's possible that the dishes were prepared to suit regional or more Americanized tastes, but I found them to be off or even spoiled. The staff did accommodate my seating request and were fairly friendly, but it seemed they prioritized takeout orders over in-house patrons. It was a very unfortunate experience. Proceed with caution if booking a table here."

"I made this reservation to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, we are British and wanted to reminisce the flavors of India. We have eaten Indian meals more times than I can remember and the portion control was so much more worth the price. You charge $24 for a bowl full of sauce with 5 small pieces of lamb served with a bowl of rice only. I have not had lamb for over 10 years and this was a disappointment. Our party was charged a 20% gratuity this was automatic even though we were paying separately, some people were parties of 2 or 3 but still the gratuity was applied. This visit was a big letdown and I will not revisit or recommend this restaurant."
