"We were staying across the street at the Bleckleyin and had just come from dropping our freshman daughter off at Clemson. We were exhausted and stressed out and just wanted to eat in our room but didn’t want fast food. We placed a take-out order and I was so tired that I couldn’t figure out how to order an extra baked potato so the manager assisted me when I called the restaurant and was so kind and helpful. We ordered a salmon salad and a salmon dinner with a side order of comfort food in the way of an additional baked potato, and some macaroni and cheese. The baked potatoes were fabulous and crusted with salt just the way they should be! Also, something notable was that they put the salmon for the salad in a separate container. Not all restaurants take the time to do this and it is really appreciated because by the time you eat the salad when you get take out, the whole salad is hot. So kudos to Raines for that. It really is the little things. The macaroni and cheese was awesome and so cheesy and really made us feel a little better. I don’t know what their secret is but it is very good! I would love to come back and go to this restaurant another time when we can sit inside and eat. Highly recommend this place!"
