"Cafe Osage made our day! The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable, while the staff remained attentive throughout the meal. My water glass never fell empty, which is not something I can often say given the large amount of water I tend to drink. My son and I were on a short road trip so we treated ourselves to an Osage Soda, and were so glad we did! I tried desperately to slowly savor the Purple Basil Soda while my son did the same with his Mango Ginger. The food was so palate pleasing and perfectly prepared. My son so graciously allowed me a taste of his flavorful BRieLT slider. I have never tasted such tender and juicy bison! I can see why the chef has received awards for this dish. His twist on the traditional BLT ingredients is inspired! I watched my son savor each bite as he released groans of pleasing approval. Though I was disappointed to find out that gluten free buns were not available, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful, fresh and well pared produce that topped the creamy polenta cakes on my plate. I don't often eat dairy due to dietary restrictions, but found it difficult to stay away from the flavorful herbed goat cheese that accompanied the polenta dish. I would happily pay the consequences to enjoy that creamy goodness anytime. Overall, though we wished for bigger stomachs as to allow room for dessert, we truly enjoyed this St. Louis gem and look forward to returning."
