"I absolutely adore the tortilla soup at this restaurant and always make sure to order it whenever I visit. It is incredibly hearty with delicious chunks of vegetables and a delightful little corn cake that is sweet and flavorful. Unfortunately, I couldn't resist eating the corn before I could take a picture. Their margaritas are served in square-stemmed glasses, adding a unique touch to the experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they now recognize us when we come in. Pauline was especially fantastic today. The restaurant is vibrant and inviting, clean and currently operating at full capacity."

"I went there for the first time on Memorial Day after enjoying a tour of the USS Milwaukee that was docked at Homeport. The food was amazing, large portions, and the service was attentive and professional. I had the steak burrito meal shown in my picture. "lI've eaten lunch on 3 separate occasions, and every time, I got the same results. They serve leftovers as a lunch special. Food was extremely salty, especially Pollo guisado. Waitresses will serve you lunch size meals and charge you for price. It is not your traditional Dominican food. Ask for prices before being served because they will overcharge. The owner was present and wasn't concerned about how bad the food."

"While the food was quite good (nothing that stands out in particular), the service took WAY too long. I was quite disappointed in how long it took to be initially greeted by our server as the restaurant was not busy at all (15 minutes too long). Though she was friendly while at the table, having worked in the service industry I find it unacceptable to be that unaware of your tables that you would allow for 10-15 minutes to pass before approaching. With that being said, I'd probably go back and sit at the bar to eat as the atmosphere is pretty cool and I'm sure the bartenders are more aware of their customers. Hostesses were very welcoming and friendly as well."

"I had lunch chouleta with aroz con gandules and maduros. it was really tasteful, a bit salty for me because I watch my sodium supply, but would be good for most. order their food ahead to minimize waiting times. the amount of food supported the price, as two people could be divided and satisfied. I will definitely go back and try another dish."

On the day we went, it was too cool for us to use the outdoor seats, and that was great because the interior was exceptionally pleasant. "I ate at the Oryz Café for the first time a week ago, and will be going again and again and again. The staff is very nice, the food is great, prices are very reasonable, and they don't skimp on the portions. I had the Denver Omelet with Home Fries and a side of Biscuits Gravy. I was able to eat about half of my meal and took the rest home for another meal. I would give the Oryz Café 10 stars, but it only allows 5. Oryz is at the top of the list for my favorite place to eat. Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed!"
