"The food is good. Mofongo was fresh, pastelito de queso tasted like it was just made. They were out of pastel en hoja but gave more pastelitos instead. Worth going to for food, but be patient, it will probably be busy. It's got that sitting down with the family feel to it."

"Food was amazingly delicious. I had trouble ordering my food cause the waitress didn?t speak much English. The delivery guy helped. I ordered salmon rice and beans and this eggs and peppers dish. All of it was good. I must add if you don?t ask them to cover your food with a gravy they won?t. (Reviews were saying the food was dry, that?s was why) I?ll definitely be back again. A nice selections of desserts. Debit cards only if you spend $10 or more. ATM in the inside."

"the pure typical Latin American taste in a teller, it is as if it is a piece of the republic and put it in new york, with its good food and its people, especially the women with their big back, but we leave the for dessert, all delicious."

"The sancocho was average, but the chicharrón de pollo was delicious. The rice was undercooked and the beans were unsatisfactory. I can make much better food at home. I had hoped to avoid cooking by ordering out since I wasn't feeling well, but it turned out to be a waste of money. I should have just cooked at home."

"I had the worst service ever at this restaurant. The staff was extremely rude. I spent $20 on burnt rice and beans and asked for additional forks, but was only given one and when I requested more, they refused. How am I supposed to manage with just one fork for 5 people and 2 pounds of rice and beans? I will never return; the service was terrible and the food was even worse!"

"Really bad! I ordered chicharron de pollo and this was basically soggy breaded chicken like KFC from WISH--not crispy at all....the meat inside the alcapurria was red...the tostones were old/soggy chewy...the avocado salad lets just say the salad from the already prepped packages are better...never again"

"This is arguably the best Dominican restaurant in Jersey City. From the food they serve down to the impeccable delivery service. You can't go wrong with a restaurant that open seven days a week and the food is always on point. Order something from La Gran Parada today."
