"This restaurant has the worst food on the island. I have a vacation home near Ballyhoos and really wanted the food to be good, but it just isn't happening. I have been there many times, with my most recent visit being last Saturday night. I ordered the chicken and took one bite into a very cold piece of poultry, only to see it was pink inside. When I informed the waitress, she just laughed and said "sorry, the grill ran out of gas." I have never had a quality meal here, although I do enjoy the atmosphere and watching sports games. Anyone who claims the food is good must be an employee or have a personal connection to the place, because the quality is just not there. The meats are low quality, overpriced, and the fried seafood is greasy and cooked in old oil. The staff, young girls in clothes too small, seem more interested in flirting with customers than providing good service. Ballyhoos is a great sports bar, but the food is terrible. Their breakfast is better than their dinner. Their recent health grade was a 92, but I am considering contacting the health department after being served undercooked poultry. If you enjoy drinking and watching sports, go to the bar, but don't waste your money on their dinner menu. The prices are high for the poor quality, with poorly cooked food that lacks seasoning and variety. It's a shame, as this place has the potential to be great with its location and atmosphere, but the food ruins its reputation."
