"Worth Repeat Visits!. Having seen Red Snapper featured on GPTV 's special broadcast, 'Get Delicious, ' I knew I had to give the restaurant a try. Tonight, we coupled a movie at The Tara with dinner at Red Snapper. <br/ <br/ Jim Stacy, host of 'Get Delicious, ' is a foodie who knows his stuff so we made it a point to duplicate his meal. My husband started with gumbo, which was delish: a thick, flavorful broth with fish, shredded crabmeat and just the right amount of rice. I started with the house salad. The dressing tasted like my grandmother 's not so special concoction of mayo ketchup. (Gumbo for me instead, next time. <br/ <br/ The ginger snapper looked wonderful on tv, so that 's what I had. Topped with shrimp and garnished with micro greens, the fish was flavorful, with a delightful ginger tang. My only complaint was that the snapper was lightly fried, and the coating was a tad mushy. <br/ <br/ T. ordered the broiled seafood platter a generous portion of snapper, shrimp and big, sweet scallops. This dish is a winner.<br/ <br/ The restaurant was practically filled to capacity at 7 p.m. and remained that way till we left. (Might not be a bad idea to make reservations. There are clearly a lot of regulars including a number of older folk enjoying their evening out. We will return!"
