"Here's where it gets really special: the woman behind the counter came over to check if our slices were hot enough. She explained that she asked because she noticed my eyes looked "puffy." It was clear she wanted to ensure we were enjoying our meal. We shared with her that we had just received some bad news and took a seat at our table to wait for our food.
As she passed by, we felt overwhelmed with emotion, and she was incredibly kind! She was the first person we had encountered since leaving the hospital, and we were feeling very low. She took the time to come over and showed genuine interest in our situation. I can't imagine how we would have felt if she had simply ignored us, but thankfully she didn't! It was like she instinctively understood what we were going through.
We truly felt that she was sent to us at that moment to lift our spirits. Thank you so much, kind woman, wherever you are! God bless you!"
