"One of my favorite restaurants in the district. Not a miss on this menu. We love the big portions to share. The flavors are just incredible. We absolutely loved the tofu with the perfect onions and scallions to accompany. The tofu curry was incredible as well. Perfect for big parties or even just a nice couple date. "Mount Vernon has been there since the mid-50's. It is a traditional southern dining experience. I had the prime rib and my wife had the trout. Both were very good. Opted for salad with their classic celery dressing and finished with their specialty Amaretto Cream pie. Not flashy or updated, but consistently good."

"The area is super nice and you can choose to eat inside or out. Sushi made fresh to order where you can see it. They have an interesting byob policy and the food was great and pretty authentic. The only problem my party had was the ramen broth was a little oily"
