"Obviously, this is not a hawaiian style poke. I mean, I dont think any of the mainland poke spot does true Hawaiian style to be fair. If you have been to Hawaii, you know poke are pre marinated with frsh Ahi tuna, rock salt, sweet onion, inamona, limu, and some variations. Typically, it doesn't use different fish, no toppings like pinapple, mango, or heavy sauce. Basically, it's not really instagramable? But I'm opposed to it being different because this is how culinary evolves and something delicious can be created. Mommoth Poke is just that. Their mixture of toppings, sauces, and fish creates a very flavorful dish as one. Compared to any other poke places I have been in Chicago, this is the best spot like many others have stated in other reviews. I put hawaiian poke sauce, a little bit of garlic aioli and spicy mayo, and it was a really good mixture of sauce."
