"Sure, it's a hole in the wall takeout place, but it's a good hole in the wall takeout place. They're not aiming to produce artisanal Asian cuisine, but they're actually pretty good. I use hot and sour soup as a litmus test for Chinese restaurants and u rate theirs at 4 stars. I so like that you can order fries wings in any qty you want."

"I feel bad for the China Inn. Just terrible, in fact. Why, you might ask? Because... The Mongolian Beef The Mongolian Beef is so wonderful, so tremendously delicious, I have absolutely NO idea if they make anything else nearly as wonderful or even better, in comparison! Do I want to spice it up, asks the waitress? No While I enjoy spicy food, in this instance, the extra spice changes the flavor profile, so I recommend just let the cooks do their magic, no extra spice needed. And it's even worse for us customers! How do we go in to a restaurant and pretend we are there for anything other than the Mongolian Beef? We fake looking at the menu in the hopes they won't see our addiction and take advantage of us... But they know. Seriously, this is the Best Mongolian Beef in town, sadly, that's not saying much for Coeur d'Alene, but I would even challenge ANY restaurant in the Spokane area to beat this dish, it's fantastic. If any restaurant will take the challenge, put your restaurant in the Comments, and I, and any other readers, will try it out in the next 3 months, and I'll give you a fair tasting, one Mongolian Beef review a week, if you're game! This could be Epic!!!"

"This place is really spot on with service and with the basic Chinese American fare. I am so glad my bf and I made the trip from Queens. He ordered the General Tso's which was fresh, crispy, sauced up and with a kick from the chiles. The rice was fresh too. I ordered the chicken broccoli and rice, spring roll, and chicken noodle pint. Everything was HOT and fresh. The brown sauce that is usually on the chicken and broccoli was glorious. I am very pleased. I wish them success."

"The menu was a bit challenging to navigate for those of us unfamiliar with Nigerian cuisine, leading us to pepper Marie with countless questions. She handled our inquiries with grace, always smiling warmly. Here’s what we tried: Jollof Rice, which resembles Spanish rice, was served with a delicious goat meat stew whose name escapes me. We also had plantains, known as Dodo, and a traditional chicken dish, the name of which I also don't recall. One of my favorites was the greens called Efo, made from spinach or green leaves with tomato paste and onions—so tasty with a nice kick! The white lumps on the plate, which might remind some of Chinese bases, are actually beaten yams known as Fufu. They were a bit odd on their own but fantastic when combined with the green dish or goat stew. We also sampled Egusi, which consists of seeds from the Egusi vegetable. This had a strong flavor and a bold personality, as I like to call it. While I would have preferred it with plain white rice, the combination worked remarkably well. We also tried palm wine, which had a very fermented smell and taste that felt unprocessed. It reminded me a bit of moonshine. I appreciate having tried it but probably won’t order it again. One note: we did have to ask multiple times for cutlery and extra plates, which could be a cultural difference. The service was a bit slower than we’re used to, but they seemed genuinely appreciative of our presence, especially considering we were a group of 20. They were so kind and appeared touched by our eagerness to learn about their cuisine. This hole-in-the-wall spot isn't for those seeking fine dining or ambiance, but the warmth and hospitality were truly lovely. The food was delicious! Our total bill, including drinks, came to about $18 per person, taxes and tips included. My cousin and a friend of mine went back a few weeks later, and I believe they enjoyed it just as much as I did!"
