"While my wife and I were initially smothered with attention, once our food came out, no one came to check on us. We had a difficult time requesting the check. Sometimes, it may be best not to chase food memories. I always loved Tony Roma's, especially for their beef ribs, as most restaurants don't have beef but only pork. My memory of the beef ribs was they were the size of the ribs on the Flintstones. Eating two or possibly three was a challenge. Not anymore. Now, the size of the ribs is like a typical Chinese restaurant. The worst offense was deep frying the ribs to heat them. I know it is an old kitchen trick for slower-selling items. My ribs were nearly incinerated. I would have sent them back had anyone come back to the table. I order my ribs dry as I expect to savor the flavor from the seasoning and the slow cooking. Tony Roma's was a total disappointment. Maybe I should be glad they closed all of their New Jersey locations."
