"Upon our arrival, we were informed that the restaurant's payment system was down and we could only pay with cash or charge it to a hotel room. Since we weren’t staying at the hotel, my friend had to drive about a mile to withdraw cash from an ATM to pay for our meal. Typically, one might expect a place to offer something as a gesture for the trouble, like a free side dish or a discount on the meal, but there was no such offer made.
Instead, my other friend and I sat waiting at our table while the waiter casually checked in to see if we were ready to pay yet. He did apologize for the inconvenience, but for a $450 meal, I would have expected more than just an apology. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the experience was less than what we hoped for."
