"I came here on hearing the promo of endless tacos for $9.99 on National Taco Day. I couldn't find any gluttons to accompany me so I went solo around 8pm to avoid the rush also. I have only been here less than 10x in the 15 years living in Natomas Just rarely came here. $9.99 endless enchiladas I have tried before too. Upon parking in the Del Taco lot cuz breakins in the lot by the eatery has been regular of late, I approached the entry. Some dude pops out and told me the tacos are ****! He said Del Taco was better. I said really? He seemed quite preturbed. I heard later he was in and upset about the wait or such. So I head in and there was a 10 minute wait for a booth and zero wait for a table on the floor. I took a table for zippo wait. Cool western decor (see my pics). H20 was brought to me and chips and salsa. She told me my waitress would be coming. I dug in. Chips are wafer thin and big. Too big almost. Salsa was light and smoky. Yummy. Both passed the taste test! Waitress Tiffany came and intro'd herself. I told her I had a free queso Yelp checkin. I got the Endless Tacos but for $2 more you get brisket and southwestern chicken choices in addition to ground beef and chicken tinga tacos. She checked back often. We chatted like bros. Tiffany is a BOMB waitress. Up there in my top 100! She got my queso. More water. More chips and salsa. Only thing, not on her is the 1st order of 2 tacos took like 15 minutes. Way too long. But I think the place does that for cost control. Brisket: ehh. Ok but dry and not tasting like real brisket. Shredded meat. Southwestern: ok also. Some nacho cheese sauce on it. Meh. Chicken tinga: average and alright. Ground beef: now I like this bad boy! Prob cuz it has much more flavor and oily meat. Haha. Best is the most common taco. I had plans to eat 10-12. I did 8. What hurt me was that they cram a bunch of fried onion strings on top. On my last 2 I stripped them all out. Who puts onion straws on a taco? A non-authentic Mexican place that's who. Also to fill you up no doubt. Regrets: minor but I would not need to add $2 for the brisket and Southwestern choices. The $9.99 for the ground beef and chicken tinga more than worked. Tiffany was the highlight. She checked up on me, came ready to take more taco orders, she was pleasant, friendly and fun. I think Chevy's has better non-authentic Mex but I do have to try other menu options and see. The food wasn't great but my server was so I will definitely return just to try other items and request Tiffany. If she is your server when you visit, you will be more than taken care of. 100%."
