"We went to Sushi Lab to try the Omaze (Chef’s 15 piece tasting menu). When we ordered it the waiter told us we cannot have it because you have to call the restaurant ahead of time and tell them you plan to order it. We were told we should NOT make reservations through Open Table but call the restaurant directly to order the tasting menu. Also, to partake in the tasting menu you must sit at a special designated bar which has counter high bar stools. I could not have sat there because I am disabled. That is discriminatory! We were very disappointed but we proceeded to order off the regular menu. We had an eel roll which was small 8 pieces and tasted good but average; nothing special. We ordered the eggplant bao bun which tasted very good but the eggplant was dripping in oil (we blotted lots of the oil off so it was good after that). We ordered the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. Lastly, we ordered the spicy edamame the spice level was good but they were so overly salted it was not edible. That’s all we ordered. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, waiter was great, food was average, policy of Chef’s table is ridiculous so we will NOT be back. We were disappointed , we had high hopes for this place."
