"I recently had the opportunity to stop by Restaurant Doug's Hot Dogs for a quick bite, and I must say it was quite an experience. Located in a small, charming spot with old town vibes, the restaurant has a 1950’s ambiance. The two servers were polite and quick!I ordered two Italian sausages along with a side of chips. While waiting for my order, I couldn't help but notice that the buns were being prepared on the counter for another patron. This raised a slight concern in my mind, wondering if they had done the same with my hot dogs. However, being preoccupied with a phone call, I didn't pay too much attention to it.The Italian sausages themselves were decent, although they seemed to be missing a certain something. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but the flavor didn't quite reach its full potential. Nevertheless, I must admit that I appreciated the fact that I received two sausages instead of one. One was plain, and the other came with sauerkraut, which added a nice tangy twist. However, I would advise the restaurant to go easy on the sauerkraut, as it tended to make the buns moist rather quickly. Alternatively, serving the kraut on the side would be a great solution.Despite these minor drawbacks, I found Restaurant Doug's Hot Dogs to be a charming place to grab a quick bite. It's conveniently located near the beach, making it an ideal stop for those in need of a satisfying meal. The quaint atmosphere, coupled with the friendly servers, adds to the overall appeal of the place. So, if you're looking for a unique hot dog experience with a touch of nostalgia, I would recommend giving this place a try.Parking: Itonly fits four cars in front and is right, there could be parking in the back but i didn’t check"

"I guess just like everywhere else this place has good days and bad days because I read the reviews and most seem positive but unfortunately I came on a day that was HORRIBLE. First things first our waiter told us sit anywhere and he “didn’t care” where we sat because he’s just there to “serve” Well duh captain obvious but I didn’t know if we should order first then sit outside. Turns out that’s what we should have done because we waited outside for 20 mins and he did not come and people who came in after us were being taken care of . So we decided to move to inside and he didn’t even apologize for not “serving” us. How the heck was my ENTIRE hot dog cold. Like the actual meat itself. Also the people across from us their food was cold as well, and the cook kept messing up orders. Their party was 5 people and their drinks, and food was all messed up. One girl ordered a burger and they brought her out a hot dog, and because the wait was so long she just said don’t worry about it, take it off her check. I sent my hot dog back and continued to wait 15 mins for my new one. It was really ridiculous and the waiter was saying they were short staffed and backed up and that he was getting annoyed because it was not his fault. Idk I would not recommend coming here especially since it was not crowded AT ALL. They couldn’t handle 13 people that’s sad. Try at your own risk because like I said idk if this was just a bad dayParking: Parking was not free"
