"I have been a frequent customer of Kumo for the past 12 years. During the Pandemic they only did carry out and delivery. This month I have visited them four times. Here are my observations: Service: AWESOME!!! They have really gone from outstanding to AWESOME! Food: OUTSTANDING! I don't work close to Kumo anymore, so I tried multiple sushi places and they all suck. Kumo has the best Sushi in Northern Virginia. I have become an addict to the their lunch menu. Check it out on their site, better yet, go there for lunch. You can get 3 high quality Sushi Rolls, a Miso soup or a Salad for $18.00. Ambiance: Nice super clean environment. Great place for Lunch or to take a date in the evening. I strongly recommend this great hidden gem."

"The restaurant has a very cute, trendy vibe with an intimate dining room. Btw, parking can be a challenge but if you luck up get a parking spot directly outside the restaurant on Lancaster Avenue, it's free. The ramen...WOW! I had every intention of taking some home but nope...ate every last bit there! As a pescaterian, majority of the ramen dishes had pork broth BUT there was about 3-4 chicken/vegetable/shrimp ramen bowls. Since I had the Vegetable Miso Ramen on my 1st visit (highly recommend! , I tried the Green Curry Ramen and this dish too measured up! There's a full bar and I definitely want to return to try their sushi which I hear is great too. Ishmael was a great server! The only reason I'm giving Ramen Bar a 4 instead of 5 stars is because I asked for a little hot sauce to add to my ramen and the young lady gave me Bakudan which was delish but an additional $3 and didn't even advise beforehand (total pet peeve of mine ! I never heard of an additional charge for hot sauce and even so, generally a condiment charge is only $1-2; $3 is pretty steep. But go figures because if you add shrimp to the Vegetable Miso Ramen it's an additional $7. I guess they don't care about making things reasonable even though the restaurant is located on Drexel's campus. Also it would be nice if Ramen Bar's Happy Hour pricing returned like it had pre-pandemic (the HH menu is still on the restaurant's IG page ."

"My favorite place on Staten Island for sushi. Food is excellent, service was always great, the staff is top notch. You can’t get better then that. For Christmas I get gift cards for everyone on my list from there and they all thank me for the great choice. I can’t wait to be able to sit down inside again but in the meantime it’s my go to for pickup and worth the trip. I wish I could give it more stars"

"We came for a quick dinner passing by and were pleasantly surprised at Mizu. I find it one of those simple and sincere sushi places that have a low key decor but welcoming and friendly host and waitresses, and a high quality food. Everything we ordered tasted good and was done right. The sushi was very fresh. The dragon roll was excellent, for example. The bill was surprisingly moderate, considering the area. We came again other night, and will do it again."

"Our daughter loves sushi, so as a birthday treat we came to Tanuki after a recommendation. We were not disappointed. Service outstanding. Our waiter was helpful, friendly, attentive and helped guide us through the menu and choices. Food was incredible, it was all so tasty. Tasteful and thoughtful. We will be back"

"Came for lunch with a friend today. I went spontaneously to the liqueur up the block and got a beautiful Napa Valley Sauvignon blanc to go with my fish (they are BYOB). We ordered the pepper tuna salad and Lobster tempura as starters. Pepper tuna was okay. The pepper crust itself was great. But I think it was over torn because the middle of the fish was playful instead of refreshing as if it smoked tuna. But the Wasabi Dressing was slightly exaggerated. Less is more, because the nasal fire was sometimes overwhelming. The lobster was good quality meat. But the dough was bland, and the lobster meat itself was not seasoned. As a result, the cook sits exclusively on the mango sauce to season the entire bite of lobster tempura. This does not provide a balance within the several layers of food. The best bite I took was when I drank it in soy sauce with a slight immersion in the mango sauce. And it was delicious, but unfortunately it was the last bite. Now on the main dish: Sushi and Sashimi for two. The part was great. The best fish was white tuna, tuna, salmon, red snaps and yellow tail belly. Regular yellow tail was not great. The ocean taste was sharp, instead of refreshing and the texture was quite granular. But that was the only fish that was not good because the yellowtail bell was delicious. The spicy tuna reel and shrimp Tempoura reel were also beautiful. The best part was the price. Because for the amount we ordered it came to about $70. The service was good. Food has great potential. But in my experience it was best average. I would give it 3.5 stars, but I will be up to 4 rounds because the price is very cheap. I would definitely come back as I live in the city nearby."

Let me share with you probably my favorite sushi spot in NYC as of now Bushniwa located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY.I love the aesthetic inside and have ordered both dine in and to go from here. They have a wide variety of items on the menu, from starters and appetizers, rolls and specialty rolls, sushi and sashimi, to dinner plates, soup, noodles, sweets, and more!Some of my go to's are the shrimp tempura and Philadelphia rolls. "Good Sushi, Great Ramen The atmosphere lends a nice cozy and serene feel to the dining experience. The faux warmly lit latern style lighting contributes to the Japanese decor of the dining room. The sushi was good and freshly prepared as you order. Chefs are in view behind the sushi bar. I ordered a Chicago Fire signature roll and a Spicy Crab cucumber roll. The Chicago fire roll is semi-sweet with a slight kick. With 12 pieces there is plenty even for the hungry. The crab and salmon within was flavorful and deliciously blended with the avacado and cucumber. The Spicy Crab roll looked to be typical maki roll. There was a good amount of spiciness and paired well with the wasabi-laden soy sauce blend I mixed for it. I ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen to finish and was quite surprised. The chashu was tender, juicy, and savory. There was a good amount of fat along with the crisped skin and tender meat. This paired with the sunny side up egg (yolk is gooey perfection) and the slices of seafood and the noodles was great! I will definitely come back and be ordering the ramen again."
