"We visited the Boyce Thompson Arboretum today and looked for a good place to stop for a late lunch. Saw The Prospector was open and it looked to be on the golf course so we headed that way. It's a small place with maybe 8 tables inside and had a good size, dog friendly patio that overlooks the greens. Our server Cassandra, was fantastic, especially when it was myself, a girlfriend, and our two daughters. I was nervous when I saw most of the people eating were golfers and I didn't want to disrupt the place with our kiddos but everyone was great. I was torn on several items on the menu, including a taco salad, buffalo chicken salad burgers, sandwiches, nachos but I landed on two soft ground beef tacos and a side of fries. The sauce and meat were very tasty and I especially loved their style of fries. My daughter asked if they could accommodate a grilled cheese that was off menu, and they were completely open to it. Also, the other little girl with us asked for an open face quesadilla and they also had no issues. The food was reasonably priced and we not only enjoyed our meal, our service, but we also enjoyed other company from guests at the table near us. I would recommend this place when you are in the area. 5 star service. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
