"Some of the best pizza comes out of South Philly, and Francoluigi you my friend are one of those establishments. At least that is how I feel about this spot. I mean you know they 've been on point since 1982, so you know they must be doing something right. Let 's get serious for a second folks, and when I say serious I am talking about their pizza. I have always had their traditional square pie, so to me that is always winning. Just picture that fresh homemade tomato sauce with their own seasoning added into it, gracefully covering that well baked pizza. That well baked in the oven pizza that is not too thick , not to thin, but just right. Then strategically layered with that fresh mozzarella over top capturing and holding in those flavors from that sauce and herbs. A square slice of heaven waiting for you to enjoy while leaving hints of that sauce on the sides of your mouth. A simple reminder letting you know you 've just enjoyed something special. An awesome experience my friends, simply awesome. Their tomato pie is also something of a marvel my friends. Perfectly constructed, with a satisfying crunch with every bite. We all know that crunch, and we all love how it sounds when we bite into it. I have only eaten in the dinning room once when I was a lot younger so, the whole dinning room experience I can 't really comment on. I remember eating their chicken parmigiana over a bed of linguine, while sitting in the corner part of the restaurant. I do remember it was delicious and I didn 't have to pay for it. So yes this was a win win for me. In all I truly enjoy Francoluigi and everything that goes with it. Get in there and enjoy an amazing meal my friends."

"Great small town pizza place! Tried it for the first time this week and we will definitely be back. Our 4 year olds were concerned when their pizza came out and the didn't see the pepperoni. My husband prefers it under the cheese as they did it here but they'd only ever seen it on top before at other places. Once we'd cut up slices for them they were fine and they tore through the entire medium and asked for more! The crust is rather thin in the middle and with the kids declining to eat the bones and only three cheese and pepperoni for toppings the medium pizza wasn't as filling as we might've expected. No one went to bed hungry at all but on our next visit I think I'll order them each a meatball as well.Husband got a small Hawaiian and seemed to really enjoy it! I do wish there was a more descriptive menu readily available to list the toppings on each of the specialty pizzas. I didn't see any info on the wall menu (which was a bit hard for my old eyes to read also) and also didn't find the info on their website or facebook. I assumed the Hawaiian would be canadian bacon and pineapple but it arrived also containing bacon and what looked like a swirl of perhaps raspberry jam? Whatever it was he enjoyed it and ate 2/3 of his small.I went simple and got plain cheese. I loved the fresh basil in the sauce.Service was simple and friendly. Ordered at the counter, they brought out the pizzas as they were ready. Paper plates and plasticware was at the counter and a roll of paper towels was at our table to napkins. They offered some canned beers and bottled and canned pop. The kids had bottles of water and that was a bit of a challenge with my messy kids, 20 ounces is a lot to spill. I found some spoonstraws at the counter (not sure why they had them, if they sometimes have snow cones or what and used a house key to poke a hole in the lid for the straw impromptu squeeze bottles. It worked but next time I'll try to remember cups."
