"My wife and I were looking for something new and decided to take a quick trip over to Independence to give Silk Thai Cuisine a try. We both looked over the menu prior to going and noted several dishes that interested us.I landed on the Crispy Duck Curry. The flavor was amazing with the right amount of heat from the spice. The duck was tender with crispy skin. The portion size was great with a perfect ratio of meat to veggies.My wife had the Cashew Nuts with chicken which she really enjoyed. Again, the portions were generous.We look forward to going back and trying some other dishes soon. Sorry, forgot to get pictures as each of our meals looked delicious and we couldn't wait to dive in."

"First visit to Sawatdee, and everyone in our group of 3 was happy with our food. However, despite signage regarding supporting social distancing prominently displayed in the lobby and masking being recommended for both vaccinated and unvaccinated, only some of the staff wore masks and a table of 4 were seated right next to our table, putting unmasked strangers within 2-3 feet of us. I am currently going through chemotherapy but thought this would be a safe place for the rare dinner out (we were downtown to buy a Christmas tree and wanted to make an evening of it). Meanwhile, entire sections of the restaurant sat empty. It was clear that seating was determined for maximum convenience of the wait staff (fewer steps) rather than the safety of the diners. Disappointing doublespeak."

"Okay, don?t get me wrong. The food is decent. Not bad but not great. It?s good for when you have that random Thai food cravings. I was in town for the weekend and was in dire need of something else besides Texas BBQ! haha Upon entering, we weren?t reallygreeted right away but that?s understandable. It was busy. Even after we sat, it took a good 20 mins just to place our order.And even after that, water wasn?t brought out for quite awhile. And my Thai tea was forgotten until all my food had already beenout. Usually this dish would be accompanied with rice, but wedidn?t get it until after all the other food had arrived. (Pork Ribs 4/5) This by far was the best dish for the evening. Theribs were perfectly seasoned and cooked well. It was nice and tender. The cooked onions went really well with it. My onlycomplaint was that it was supposed to come out sizzling hot. Since it was on the sizzling plate. But it was not that. The ribswere like warm actually. Disappointing. (Drunken Noodles 3/5) It was okay. Just spicy but no flavor. The noodles weren?t coatedmuch. Quite dry. (Pork Larb 2/5) I had high hopes for this dish but it was horrible. The pork itself needed a umami. It wasjust spicy but lacked fish sauce. And they didn?t really give us much lettuce to eat with it. It was a few pieces of lettuce andcucumbers. Not enough for the amount of Larb. Overall I would say food was just mediocre. Not bad. But not good. haha but yeah.Disappointed in the service too. It was nonexistent and when it came to closing time. They had asked us to pay out first. Ourfood was barely out. "I made the mistake of going to try a different Thai restaurant instead of Thai Thani and I quickly realized how much I don't appreciate Thai thani enough. Like Terry Burnner, i agree the 3 point something review does not match up with their true essence. I have been to both locations and they both are great. Service is fast, environment is clean, big windows to look out, portions are big. I've had soups, curries, salad and noodles from here. All great!"

"After we got it the waitresses couldn't come to take our order. Finally she stopped by and asked her we were trying to get her attention. She said do you see any body else here? I am all alone... A little politeness wouldn't hurt. Also the owner shouldn't put just one waiter on Friday night in a restaurant with 20+ table. The food was fair nothing special."

"Absolutely loved this place! Had to order one of their popular dishes, the crispy garlic chicken, which was fantastic! I was also very impressed by their Kao Soi. It took me straight back to Chiang Mai, Thailand. This popular northern Thailand dish is a staple of that area, and they would have been highly rated if it had been made back there as well. "I ordered takeout through their website and I liked the ease of it. I got crab fried rice and shrimp spicy basil noodle, the seafood in both tasted off to me. The rice also had no flavor. The noodles were one note spicy which I didn't hate but still not very good. I just hope I don't get sick."

"We have ordered from here regularly. Last time we ordered vegetable pho with shrimp. They said we'll need to charge you extra for the shrimp. We said that's fine. They ended up charging us about 15$ extra for 5 pieces of shrimp. Not worth the extra shrimp. Maybe they didn't think we would count how many they put in our meal. Since the vegetable pho is such a large order, we split it along with another dish. So sweetly we divey our shrimp. One shrimp for you; one shrimp for me. Won't order the vegetable pho with shrimp again especially since one of us was short a shrimp."

"Was taken to lunch here last Wednesday as a surprise from my friend. It was so pretty inside. I ordered the spicy bbq chicken. It came with rice, salad, added a spring roll and sweet n sour won ton chip as well. The chicken was cooked perfect. A light crispy crust. The spicy bbq sauce aka spicy sweet n sour sauce. It was really great. Only complaint is they did not dress my salad with the peanut sauce. It was just dry lettuce and tomato. OOopps. My friend got the veggie green curry and I tasted the broth. Omg what flavor. Our waitress was really sweet. Older lady. Didn't hover but was there when you needed her. Location is in down town Carson. So a nice view. Would have given 5 stars if my salad had been dressed. I stole dressing off my friends salad. I'll go back as that chicken was so good."

"We arrived just two minutes before the switch from lunch to dinner, yet the staff was incredibly kind and accepted our to-go order. The food was absolutely delicious and had a lovely level of spice. We were really glad we stopped in. We enjoyed the eggplant with tofu (and there was a generous amount of tofu), the Pad Paw Chicken (my husband, who usually isn’t a fan of Thai food, actually loved this), the spring rolls (which were nice and juicy and fresh), and the bikini shrimp (which were a great size). Overall, it was a fantastic experience!"
